We have about 30 acres and raise fallow deer, alpaca and a few cattle for the family organic meat supply. Grant works on the farm and in Forestry and I teach at the local school. Our adult sons come home some weekends- especially when the fishing is good! We have traveled fairly extensively and enjoy sharing our lifestyle with others. You are welcome to share family meals with us for a nominal cost but we ask that you have meals in town if we are not at home. I provide basic breakfast during the week and am happy to cook full breakfasts or special request meals at weekends.
The town is not served by public transport so you will need your own car or bike to explore the bush walks and beaches of the Coromandel region. If you are looking for a peaceful stay near beautiful beaches then you will love this part of New Zealand.

House Rules

No smoking or shoes inside the house thanks. We collect our water from the rain so keep water usage with conservation in mind. On the day you leave, please vacate by 7.30 am, so I can clean before I go to work in case others are arriving later. Check with us before feeding the animals or walking around the farm.

Smoking Rules

Your host is a non-smoker.

Smoking is allowed outdoors only.

How do I book?

Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.

When do I pay?

Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.

When can I share my contact details?

Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
