It was our first time using homestay and we had a wonderful time with Fabi, Miguel and Maria. The house is immaculate as seen in the pictures with amazing mountain views just outside the windows. We were made to feel right at home and we learnt a lot about the area of Bariloche and Argentina. We would highly recommend to anyone looking for an authentic homestay experience. We hope to visit again soon! Simon & Harriot.

It sounds like a cliche, but this really was a home away from home for me. The house is beautifully furnished, the private guest room is huge and the view of the mountains is incredible. Miguel and Fabiana are warm-hearted and kind people who did everything to ensure I had the best time. I talked and ate with them every morning and evening (tasty!), I felt like being part of the family… their son, his wife and daughter are just as nice. The family helped me book tours, withdraw money and gave me a bus pass. You can get everywhere easily by bus. Overall everything was perfect.

Fabiana and Miguel gave us the most incredible experience - our top highlight of Argentina! They welcomed us into the family with free breakfast, insightful conversations and great recommendations. The bedroom is also incredible with a stunning view of Cerro Catedral. We cannot recommend staying with them enough! Thank you both so much :)

A five star experience with a personal touch!
Their home is very well situated, closer to most tourist attractions than downtown Bariloche and close to nature. Perfect for trekkers like us! The bedroom was incredible. Very roomy, well equiped, oh so Instagram worthy, and with an stunning view of the mountains. Breakfast every morning was such such treat with delicious homemade jams. Be sure to book a dinner with chef Miguel for a mouth watering local dish and great conversation. Miguel and Fabiana were friendly and very attentive to our needs. They helped us plan the best stay possible in Bariloche. We had such an amazing stay with them, thank you so much!!Host reply

Fabiana and Miguel were absolutely fantastic hosts to stay with. Really, from the first moment when Miguel picked us up from the airport, my partner and I felt like family. This was a true cultural exchange, not just a place to stay. We past many hours around the breakfast and dinner table sharing with each other, discussing our cultures, and having a great time. Fabiana and Miguel both have wonderful, outgoing personalities that made it easy to feel at home. Really an unforgettable experience.
A few elaborations:
Miguel is an excellent cook. You will definitely eat well. During our stay, he prepared both traditional dishes like homemade empanadas and pizza all the way to some really interesting specialties of his such as his venison goulash and crepes with local mushrooms! Absolutely delicious food.
Miguel is well-acquainted with the tourist industry in Bariloche. They both made lots of recommendations for activities we should do, but even beyond that, when plans changed at the last minute, Miguel was able to make some bookings for us at the last minute, saving the day!
Miguel and Fabiana's house is absolutely beautiful, and the cherry on the top, our bedroom window looked out on the dramatic mountains nearby. What a view! A couple evenings, we just laid in bed and watched the glow of the mountains change colors as the sun set. Everything in terms of the room and house was comfortable and well-appointed.
Fabiana and Miguel live a little out of the city center, which for us was a great thing. It is a quiet, picturesque neighborhood. But it still had excellent dining options within a short walk--Bahía Serena was fantastic. Where they live is actually closer to most of the excursions in the area: skiing at Cerro Catedral, visiting the Llao Llao, Cerro López, the lake cruises, etc... And downtown was a bit hectic for us. Where they lived was much more relaxing.
Furthermore, Fabiana and Miguel take hosting as their retirement job and were happy to shuttle us to and from activities in their car when they were available, which was often. They charge about the same rate as taxi services, but it was so much more convenient than calling a taxi service, figuring out how long they'll take to get there, how much they'll charge, etc. It was also so much faster and simpler than managing the bus system. Of course, Fabiana's and Miguel's transfers came with lots of advice and friendly conversation about the area and our experiences. For us, who didn't rent a car, it was a dream come true!!!
Fabiana and Miguel, thank you for an amazing week together!

Where do I start?
I had a wonderful stay at Fabiana and Miguel's place just outside Bariloche.
The house is amazing: close to a beautiful beach, near to shops and perfectly located for walks into the woods and the mountains beyond.
My room was incredible - just like it is om the Homestay.com site, but even better. It was spotlessly clean and I had a fabulous view of the mountains through the window.
What is more, the welcome I had from the Fabiana and Miguel was second to none. If you want to try some of the best homemade food in Bariloche, stay with this couple - great company, great food. I feel very lucky that I had the opportunity to stay at this homestay.
