The home is a townhouse which has three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a lounge room, small kitchen, and courtyard. It is situated across the road from Richlands Train Station (approximately 10 minutes walk away). The train into the city takes half an hour. There is a pool, basketball court, and handball court located within the complex that are available to all residents. The house is within walking distance to the shopping centre and restaurants. I am in my Honours year at the University of Queensland. I love spending time with my two budgies (Ava and Evi) as well as watching movies, reading, and swimming. I have a younger brother who loves mountain bike riding, swimming, and playing basketball. My family is very active and we spend a lot of time together. You will feel right at home with us and will very much be included in the family.

About the Area

My house is a 30 minute drive away from Brisbane Airport and a 20 minute drive away from the city. It is possible to travel from the Airport by train. The train station and bus stop are just across the road and it takes 5 to 10 minutes to walk there. The train takes half an hour into the city centre, and the bus takes just under an hour. Shops and restaurants are all located within walking distance. For students travelling to the University of Queensland, I will be travelling to and from the University 5 days a week and will be able to travel with you. A few days of the week, I drive to UQ and students would be welcome to travel in my car.

House Rules

Residents
Only the people and number of residents that have booked are allowed to sleep in the apartment.

Security Deposit
A deposit of $200 is requested at the beginning of your stay and will be returned to you at the end of your stay, provided you
comply with the house rules.

Visitors
Visitors must depart by 10pm.

Smoking
Smoking is not permitted anywhere in the house.

Party/Noise
Absolutely no parties or functions in the apartment. If a complaint is received for loud music and/or unruly behaviour, the police may be called to attend the premises.

Building Rules and Regulations (By-Laws)
All residents must comply with building rules and regulations as imposed by the building managers. There are monetary penalties for non-compliance. Failure to pay the building manager direct will result in recovery of funds from your security deposit.

Common Areas
The kitchen, laundry, dining, lounge and courtyard are for all residents to enjoy. Please be courteous and considerate.

Smoking is not allowed.

How do I book?

Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.

When do I pay?

Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 199 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.

When can I share my contact details?

Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
