Our family live in. Brisbane, South East Queensland, in a suburb called Wilston. We live on the border of Windsor and Wilston. What I love about this house, your rooms, and the location are as follows:
1. This house
It is a traditional Wooden house called Queenslander which downstairs has been fully renovated recently into a beautiful 5 bedrooms and 2 bathroom house. Upstairs has been kept to its 1950 charms with a large kitchen, dining area that opens to a living room, three big rooms, a bathroom, a study room and completed with a deck.

Downstairs has two bedrooms, kitchenette, and open living dining area and a bathroom and a patio to the backyard.

Our family consist of me and my husband, Daniel, a six years old boy and a four years old girl, who both are very well mannered. My husband is a chef, and I am a good cook, so food in this house is always lovely and tasty. Our family is still young and we both love company and chat over a beer or coffees. We love to share experiences and stories. We loves movies, and video games and karaokes. We have whole heaps of DVDs that are available to lend. We also likes going to parks, especially the one with playgrounds, and have BBQ.
2. Your room
The room is fabulous! It is located downstairs. This great, it will give you more privacy from us. The room has a small window, king single bed, walk in wardrobe and a study desk attached to the wall. This desk is completed with a 32” television. There are lots of storage cabinet includes bedside tables. The room also have a luxury air-condition.
3. Locations
This house is nothing but locations, locations, locations!!! Less than a minute to walk to the bus stop that will bring you to Royal Brisbane Women Hospital which you can transit to change bus and then the city.

We also very close to the train station. Less than five minutes walk and you can catch a train that directly taking you to Fortitude Valley (China Town), Brisbane CBD, and Southbank.

We are located less than 1.2km from the famous Royal Brisbane Women Hospital (RBWH), 2.3km to the Valley and 6.6km to Brisbane CBD.

Need a feed? If you can go literally accross the road. Accross our house is the Windsor Home Zone Centre. It has local fruits and deli shops, chemist, medical clinic, shops, and varieties of small restaurants and coffee shop. It also has conveinient shop that open 24hours!

It is only 3mins drive to Newmarket Readings shopping centre, which currently is being renovated to fit a cinema! It has lots of cafes, restaurants, big chain supermarket and the Newmarket Hotel pub.

It will only take you six minutes drive to go to QUT Kelvin Grove campus, or if you thinking of getting healthy, it will take you only thirty minutes to walk or less than fifteen minutes ride to QUT by taking a shortcut. Alternatively, you can catch a bus to RBWH bus station, and change to Bus 61 that will send you to the campus within one stop.

Also, every Sunday morning, there's an organic market being held in Northey st that is only a walking distance. You will love living here, everything is so close and within a walking distance.

Additional Info

We speak in English mostly in the house. But my background is Indonesian, so Bahasa Indonesia will be thrown out there sometimes. We prefer our guess to park their vehicle on the side of the road. But further agreement based on length of stay on parking can be arrange.

    Hi Jon,
I just realised this, the fact that you left a lovely review about me and my family. Thank you so much. We still think about Peter, Daniel missed his company. We hope we can host your guest again in the future.

Widya's sister Aini and her husband Ray now live at this address. I had a wonderful stay with them and their 3 lovely kids aged between 13 and 6. They are very hospitable and helpful with advice, and the room and bathroom were spotlessly clean. The house is on a quick bus route into the CBD but you can walk into town in less than half an hour, the nicest way is through the Roma St Parklands - look for the Eastern water dragons everywhere. If you walk the other way up the hill for 10 mins there's a great cafe along a little strip with a beautiful gift shop and Botanica which does amazing salads and baked goods. The only drawback of this location if you're sensitive to noise is the proximity to 2 major roads - take earplugs as the weekday traffic starts early. Thank you Aini and Ray I hope to see you again next time I'm in Brisbane! Eve xx

This is not my first but the best homestay exp i have in my life. Widya and Daniel cook great dishes and introduce lots and lots of information. The kids are all really adorable, friendly and talkative! The location is great! There are bus stops, supermarkets, bars, and a great park for jogging only take a few minutes to walk. If you want to walk to king George square, I'll take less than twenty minutes. So it locates in a quite convenient spot!
I really enjoy the stay with them. you'll feel like you are part of them and are welcome to share what ever you thought.
I think it is one of the best part i enjoy in Australia. Miss them sooooooooo much>
