My husband, daughter, son and I live in the quaint town of Edmonton. We have two houses and a large tropical garden. Our guest house is also our business office as my husband and I both work from home. We spend lots of time in our large outdoor entertaining area and playing in the garden. Our garden has a trampoline, treehouse, tree swing and lots of space to enjoy nature. I am a stay at home mum so I have plenty of time to spend with students if they want company.

About the Area
Our home is located 15 minute drive or 37 minute bus ride south of Cairns City CBD. There is a bus stop 3 minutes walk from our house. We are close to a public library, water slide park, tropical fruit garden, kmart shopping centre and rainforest waterfall hiking trail.

I stayed 6 nights with my son. The host family is very friendly and the mother is so caring. The environment is perfect for children to play with local kids and also great opportunities for your children to learn English too. I recommend to who wish to do homestay with your children. 親日家で楽しいオージーホストファミリー。一緒に行った息子はファミリーの子どもたちと一緒に遊び、自然に英語も学びました。家族でホームステイしたい方におすすめです。

How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
