Originally from Central Europe, I am semi-retired and live by myself. Availing my home to international visitors keeps me in touch with the world which seems to work both ways.
I like hosting, friendly and respectful guests of any nationalities. There are 3 shopping centres and countless eating places around us but I can cook for you if you fancy homemade meals. The bus stop for the City Express and for an other which runs direct Kelvin Grove Campus is just around the corner circa 2 minutes walk from us. The Darra train station is 1.8 km from us.
I have rooms both upstairs (2) and downstairs (3) some are singles others are double rooms. All modern, light and clean and guests are allowed to use the backyard swimming pool.

About the Area
Our house is located on the south-west side of Brisbane city, 14 kms from the Central Business District (Downtown). The bus stop for the City Express and an other one to Kelvin Grove campus is just around the corner c. 2 min.walk from us. The nearest train station is at Darra 1.8 kms. There are many shopping centres and eating places nearby. Famous places to visit not far from us are the Lone Pine Koala Park, and Mt Cootha lookout and Botanical Garden. The Brisbane River with walkways and parks and BBQ is 5 min. by car.

This is a clean, modern and respectful home. Guests are asked to remove their shoes before entering, keep their room clean, and to be considerate towards the host, neighbours and the environment.

How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
