Hello to our next potential Homestay.
We are a young family living in the inner city suburbs of Brisbane. I am a single mother of two beautiful children named Ella-maree (Girl, 9yrs) and Chase (Boy 7yrs). They both go to school here in the city and I work full-time from Monday-Friday.
We are have hosted homestay students from all different parts of the world including Dubai, Kuwait,Colombia and Korea. We love sharing our home and meeting new people from all around the world, especially my children.
My children stay with me 4 nights per week and the other nights they stay with their father who is our good friend too. We are a busy family but always like to include and invite our homestays to places that we go as a family.
I am very helpful and friendly, no one has ever felt uncomfortable in my home with us. We are also clean and tidy and have no pets.

About the Area
Our new home is located in the gorgeous Kangaroo Point, with city views. This suburb is very close to many important locations in Brisbane including the CBD, Fortitude valley, Southbank and of course Universities. If you love fitness, you won't need a gym membership as kangaroo point cliffs has a great fitness atmosphere with stairs that people run up and down for high intensity cardio, and walking tracks etc.
I will help with public transport when you get here but here is a rough idea of transport to some locations:

To the Brisbane CBD:
1.Walk 200m to bus stop 10/6 Shafston Ave at Connor Street
2. Take bus 227 (19 mins travel)
3. arrive at Edward Street Stop 142 near Queen St, Brisbane City

To Southbank:
1. Walk 600m to Thornton Street ferry terminal, Kangaroo Point (or I can drive you)
2. Take boat toward north Quay (12 mins travel)
3. arrive at south Bank 3 ferry terminal, Southbank.

House Rules
Please clean up after yourself when using the kitchen, If frying oil, keep all windows open and bedroom doors closed upstairs.
Always make sure house doors are locked before leaving if no one is home.
Bathroom bench tops must be kept clean and tidy and your belongings and products kept in the bathroom cupboard. My friends will use the guest bathroom when visiting so the bathroom needs to be kept clean and tidy.
Shoes outside :)
Dryer can be used once a week only, other times you can use the clothes line to hang your clothes to dry.

Your host is a non-smoker.

How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
