About the Homestay
2 large bedrooms with queen size beds and large wardrobes. Own bathroom and lounge area with tv and Internet access. We have 1 cute little dog who does not shed hair and is very friendly. Wife is an excellent chef for both European or asian food. Our home is 5km from CBD. Bus stop is located 50m away with buses coming every 10-15mins. Quiet location in a nice neighbourhood. There are two shopping centres and a park within walking distance. Many cafes and restaurants close by and the beach is only 10km away! The house is always filled with sunlight and is kept very clean and tidy. There is a small patio outdoor area and a large balcony that can be used. We are a married couple of over 20 years and we are always up for a chat and have traveled extensively through Asia. We have a 21 year old daughter who has relocated to Melbourne and on the weekends we usually take the dog to the beach, go for walks near the river or go for picnics at our favourite spots. Between the two of us we speak English, Thai and German.

John and Siri were a beautiful couple I was met with warmth and hospitality from the moment I arrived will certainly stay there again and what a lovely home I was greeted every day by their little dog Bambi Mary Williams
John and Siri are very nice hosts. Always friendly, openminded and helpful. They own a big new house, where you feel welcome and home. When I fell sick (bad cold) John drove me to the doctor abd Siri cooked a tasteful soup for me. You get an own room with own bathroom, an own sittingarea and balcony. A big shoppingnall is just around the corner. Same is the bus.You can go to citycentre in around ten minutes. I highly recommend this homestay.
John and his wife were wonderful hosts. They are warm and welcoming and made me feel at home. The house is very nice - very modern. The bedroom was very nice with a super comfortable bed. The Wifi was good. I had a car and free parking is available in front. Overall, a great experience.
This host is my worst experience with homestay! The description of the host has turned out wrong. The room is small. The bed is big indeed but there is no table, no chair in the room.
The bedroom is shared with an other guest - but in the description is no word about that.
John doesn't speak German. He knows only a few basic words like "Mutti"... If you hope to speak with him Germany you will be disappointed. According his wife John doesn't speak Thai as well.
Why all these lies?
The internet is very slow and the connection breaks regularly. You have to be very patient with it.
He wanted to copy my passport. I refuse it. Don't give a stranger your passport and don't allow him to copy it.
John has show me his archive with the passport copies of all his guests. He lies if he claims to have destroyed these records. He couldn't explain me why he has been keeping it all the time.
I have showed him my passport to identify yourself. But for John it was not enough.
You don't get any key from the house. So, you aren't flexible. It could happen that you will be waiting in the front of the closed doors.
While I was away during the day, my room was entered by the host regularly. I don't know what he was looking for.He hasn't tell me.
Light breakfast = only black coffee without sugar!
Is this Australian hospitality?
Perth is very nice town. But stay with this host- NEVER again.
It was a pleasant stay with John and Siri in a nice house which is not farvaway from the CBD. They are very open to have a chat or to share some local Information. Even I, who is not a big fan of dogs normally, liked the small and lovely dog very much. I can absolutely recommend to stay with John and Siri.
Five star all the way. Situated well for transport lovely home clean and very tidy. Great company I was very well looked after. What a great start toy visual to WA. I wish them every success for the future
This guest awarded the host 5 hearts but didn’t leave any comments.
Nice, neat, tidy, modern home with mattress that feels like you landed on massive pile of feathers that love you. Hosts are happy to offer what you need and sit down over a good conversation.
Very welcoming, clean and a very comfortable bed!
This was our first ever home stay experience and John & Siri's second experience.
The house is beautifully clean and the room is spacious with a comfty bed. We had our own space in the fridge for our food. Wifi was very good. The house is well located with a bus stop just round the corner for easy access to the city. Their dog Bambi is very lovable and loved to be around people.
John and Siri made us feel very welcome in their home, Siri made us a Thai feast that was delicious for my boyfriends birthday. It was a very family-feel home with the added feature of spending time with the families exchange student KK who was lovely. The family are very knowledgeable of the area and gave us advise on how to get around.
The only thing that would make this better would be to have a television in the bedroom as although the description says you have your own television it is on the landing area. That being said it a minor issue and we as a couple like lazy days so it may not be a huge issue to others. I would highly recommend this homestay family and would definitely use them again should we come back to Perth.
Thank you John & Siri :)
