About the Homestay
Hi there, our house is located about 25km south of the CBD in the Sutherland Shire. It's a short walk to the bus stop or the shopping centre where you can catch a bus to Hurstville for a train trip to the city (1 hour total trip time), however, there is plenty of shopping and things to do locally without having to go to the city.
We are a family of 4 with a girl and boy aged 5 and 3. We love to get out to the local beaches, parks, etc and love having company. Hopefully you are ok with a bit of noise and the kids to tend to get up early, but our house features a beautiful new guest room with ensuite which is in the downstairs area and is quite private. There is an adjoining 2nd lounge room which we rarely use with a TV and access to Netflix. The downstairs area also has access to the back of the house if you wish to come and go without having to go through the front door. The inside of our home is renovated, but outside is still original and a work in progress.

About the Area
Our house is located in the southern suburbs of Sydney in the Sutherland Shire. We are a 5min walk to the bus stop which can be taken to Hurstville Station to continue to the city or Miranda if you want to go shopping or to continue on to Cronulla beach. Its about a 1 hour trip to catch a bus and train to the city, otherwise its only a 30min drive.

Showers - you have a private ensuite, but please keep showers to less than 10min so everyone can enjoy a hot shower!
If you eat meals at the dining table with us, then we have a rule of no mobile phone use during meals.

Our student Giulia stayed with this lovely family and it was an amazing and life-filled experience, full immersion in English and in Australian culture. Daniel is a gentleman and, together with his wife, he made Giulia feel at home and included.

How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 199 $£€ for longer term bookings) and a 25% deposit using a choice of payments: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal. The deposit is collected in advance on behalf of the host to protect against no show or late cancellations (within 7 days of arrival). You then pay your host the balance due on arrival. The 25% deposit payment is made to the host 2 business days after your scheduled arrival date. This deposit payment will only be refunded if you cancel the booking at least 7 full days prior to arrival.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
