A homestay in Italy with Mia from UK Travel Room

When UK Travel Room blogger Mia Pebleton found out that her friend was getting married in Bologna she knew it was a trip she wanted to make. Bologna, in the Emilia-Romagna region of Italy is a stunning historic city but finding affordable accommodation, particularly at the height of wedding season can prove tricky. Happily Mia was able to book herself in to stay with our host Elisabetta who lives in a stunning house with large rolling, grounds for her guests to explore. So impressed was Mia with her homestay that she described Elisabetta’s home as “a mini version of Bruce Wayne’s mansion.”

In spite of such a scenic setting, Elisabetta home is located within easy reach of the centre of the city with the bus stopping only minutes from her house. Once she’d settled in, Mia got to brush up on her Italian with her host and explore the beautiful gardens of her homestay.
