First of all, it's cheaper, you can easily afford a home that's close to the centre, which wouldn't be the case if it was a hotel!! That's very good first point.
And it's always great to stay at a local's place, that can give you a lot of advice about the city, what places locals go and what to avoid at all cost.
During our 6 days in Dublin we had the chance to visit a lot of stuff!!
The Phoenix Park, located just near the home, was really fun, and we got to see a lot of deer!
The Book of Kells, it really is a MUST SEE! The old library is probably the most beautiful building i've seen.
The Guinness Storehouse, you can spend a few hours in the museum, there's a lot to see.
Do a morning bike tour in the Phoenix Park, you won't regret it, it's relaxing and refreshing!!
If you like creepy stories, try the Ghostbus Tour, it's really and fun and original, the guide was really friendly and passionnate, you also visit places you wouldn't visit normally at night, which makes it more creepy!
Also try to book a bus to the Wicklow mountains, it's a really beautiful place!!
It was great! Unfortunately we didn't manage to meet him, so I don't have a lot to talk about but he has always been comprehensive and responsive, which was very reassuring.
But an American dad was sharing the home, he had the other room, and he was really friendly even though we didn't see each other too much, as we always were on a trip!
We even bought him a guinness beer (west indies porter) and to thank us he offered us chocolates before leaving!
Be friendly to people and they will be friendly to you!
A full Irish Breakfast, a great way to start the day!
