We are a family that are English, Spanish and French speakers. We live in a spacious house in the suburbs of Rio. We are four people. Husband, wife and two sons (14 and 15 years old). Our house is open to receive family guests that fit to our profile (non-smoking guests). We live nearby the pleasant "Madureira Park" that is equipped with many attractions to the visitors, and near the famous "Samba School Portela" the championship of 2017 Carnival Parade . We live very close to a street fair where the guest may taste all kinds of Brazilian Fruits ! Even living on the suburbs our house has easy access to the train and subway stations that can easily take the guests to the South Zone of Rio. If the guests prefer, we can also do the tours with them, as we are experienced in many tour options (with car and guidance, cost to be negotiated) . As we speak other languages (I´m an English Teacher as well), we can orient and help the guests on their own language. We love exchanging knowledge and knowing other cultures by interacting with people. I´ve worked as a Tourism Agent for 10 years , so I am large experienced on guiding and helping tourists in Brazil. My husband loves to play the acoustic guitar and I love playing tambourine: music is something that is always around here!! My kids are Capoeira players and love skating!!
We love cooking and I am a great pizza maker!! It will be great to have you among us in Rio to have a local experience!!

Our house is located on the Suburbs of Rio (North Zone). We have easy access to train and subway station as well many bus lines that attend the people. Madureira Park is located on walking distance, with many attractions to the visitors.

Music allowed until 22:00 on weekdays and until 00:00 on weekends.
It´s not allowed to bring other people to the house.
Paid amounts are non- refundable.

How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
