My name is Luzia and I am a Brazlian woman born in Rio de Janeiro. My home is a beautiful apartment in a top location, Ipanema! I am close to the famous Ipanema beach and all of the cool bars and restaurants. I love having guests and try to make them feel right at home. My house is your house! I have a friendly cat in my home. If there's anything you need, I will be sure to help. I only speak Portuguese but have no problem communicating in other ways if you don't speak Portuguese.

About the Area
My house is located about 3km from the city and in a quiet, safe and cosmopolitan area. I am 2 mins to the main metro and bus station, close to the famous Ipanema beach and only a short walk to Copacabana beach. I am near all cool bars and restaurants. the neighbourhood is always lively. There is always some fun to be had nearby!

Meals

Basic rules for my home:
1. My home is your home - I would like for you to feel welcome and to enjoy your stay
2. I ask that you don't bring visitors into my home - this is a security issue in Brasil
3. You are welcome to use the kitchen - please just clean up after yourself
4. Please try to shake off sand outside so you don't bring it into the house
5. No smoking inside
6. No drugs
7. If you are using the air conditioner please very very conscious of usage. The electricity bills are very high and if you are not using it or have left the room, please switch it off.

How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
