This is an artist's house, staying with us you are going to be part of Salvador's cultural life, Particularly the cultural african-Brazilian manifestations we take part and invite you to get to know better, such as Capoeira Angola and Samba de Roda. I live with my teenage daughter in a duplex apartment between the beautiful neighborhoods of Rio Vermelho and Ondina in Salvador. We also have a room (Room Oxossi) in Barra, very central neighborhood, in an apartment que our hosts arts and crafts studio, and is the head office of our Laboratory of Criative Ideas.
We provide not only comfortable accommodations with an open view of the ocean, minutes away from the city center, but Also The Possibility of taking part of a cultural immersion experience.
Here at Mermaid Boutique we want to create a cultural network where people can come and exchange Their experiences. At the same team we work with projects to promote the African heritage of the brazilian culture, bringing to our community celebrations and processions such as Bumba meu Boi and the Iemanja day.
We welcome families, artists and all people who want to get to know Salvador through the cultural perspective.

Dandara was an amazing host. She and her family were so welcoming and went out of their way to make my stay enjoyable. The house is perfectly located for tourists who prefer a more authentic experience, the neighbourhood is safe but not touristy, the community is tight-knit and historically bohemian, with great bars and live Brazilain music, the beaches are quiet and typically stunning. It's a 20 second walk from a bus stop. Plus the house has a view of the sea on two sides and one of the patios has a hammock over looking straight onto Ondas beach. Good breakfast provided and a very friendly cat and dog to keep you company. Met lots of new people in the city through her and learnt so much about the city from her too! Can't recommend this place enough!!
How do I book?

When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
