About the Homestay
We are a large family living in a 10-beds house in the heart of a local village, named Pou Bos located on the West side of the Old Market. We have an orphanage that houses 17 children, and also a school for over 100 children from the orphanage and also from the nearby villages. Living with us are also 2 dogs, 2 geeses, and some chickens.
We are located on a quiet road in a leafy suburb in the west of Siem Reap.
Our home is 5 minutes by tuk-tuk or 10 minutes by bicycle to Pou Bos Village, which has an 'old-world' feel with lots of thatched cottages. The nearby night market is very nice. Pou Bos Village has a rural feel and has good selections of cafes, bars and restaurants on the way. We have ten bicycles, which our guests are welcome to rent to explore the countryside during their stay.
Our house is only 1 year old with a nice bamboo front. We have a large kitchen, a separate dining room and a lovely stage for Khmer traditional dance performance by the children. There is also a large garden where we grow Khmer local food.
We offer our guests to stay in the 3 rooms and 2 bungalows (with a shared shower room and toilet) that we have. There is a spacious living room and a large kitchen with a dining area beside it. A nice bright open patio that is perfect for minibar at all time.
You can experience the local culture in our village.
I love watermelon so you can enjoy some tasty treats from time to time! We have to feed 17 children and 5 teenagers, and some pets. We like to also share the hospitality with you!
Dress wear long skirt, and no kisses where the children is around. This is our culture.
