We are a family: 2 parents, 3 children and 1 dog!
My wife and I work mostly from home, so it's possible for us to spend time with our guests.
I am a professional classical concert pianist, which means that if you stay at home you'll listen to me playing and practising a lot! Our oldest son, plays cello, one of our daughters sings in the choir and the little girl is interested in percussion!
My wife is interested in the arts too, but visual arts. She is an interior decorator and has a degree in Arts.
On top of that she had several years of experience working in a Montessori Elementary school, and she is currently working for a local Italian school.
We all like activities and sports: soccer, skating, martial arts, skiing (a downhill center is only 15 minutes away by car), tennis, (a nice court is available in the neighbourhood just 100 meters from our home!) and canoe.
Yes, we are lucky to be surrounded by the fantastic Gatineau Provincial Park, with rivers and lakes to explore! A Park that you can also explore with bike, through all its paths that leads right into downtown Ottawa, Canada's Capital, if you want to switch from the nature to the city!
We are lucky to live in a great and very quiet neighbourhood (Parc Champlain), which is immersed in the nature. We have a big house in a half acre property, with a nice garden and a couple of decks where you can relax. We live 14 minutes from the center of Ottawa by car, while is you take the bus it could take approximately 35/40 minutes. We are also close to UNAM-Canada School, only 30 minutes walk+bus. Don't forget the bike, it's an option too, and the scenery is great along the Ottawa River.
Your private room and shared bathroom would be on a different floor, so you'll have plenty of privacy.
We all speak English, Italian and French. My wife and I are mother tongue Italian, speak fluent English, and can understand fairly well French. The kids go to school in French, so they know it better than us, and of course speak English and Italian too!
Our dog is also an important part of our family. Max is a very friendly, jumping, loving boxer.
He welcomes everyone with a lot of excitement, and after 10 minutes he retires in the house and leave you alone, unless he wants to be cuddled!
Our home is often full of friends that come to visit. We also have hosted many times and love it. We are interested in guests that want to create lasting friendships.

Our house is located in a quiet neighbourhood, surrounded by nature, close to the Club de Golf Royal Ottawa.
Only 15 minutes by car from downtown Ottawa, 35/40 by bus. You can also easily bike around if you are a sporty person!

How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
