Hello! My name is Linda and my husband Don and I are a retired couple who love to meet new people from all over the world!
I've previously taught English to students from Korea, Japan and China , Germany and Switzerland .
In the past we have had homestay's from Indonesia, Australia, Japan, Korea and China and we are excited at the thought of having you join us also!
Now that all of our kids are grown up with kids of their own, we have an empty basement that is waiting for the right guests.
We have 2 bedrooms available downstairs and you will have access to the full kitchen and side entrance to the basement.
You will also have access to the separate basement laundry room .
We are very quiet and respectful of your privacy but we are also always around for conversation.
Our home is the perfect access to local
amenities , Orchard Park Mall , Costco , Mission Park Greenway , and UBC and the College . We are also on a bus route for easy access to transportation!

About the Area
Our house is very close to the things you will need. The bus stop is a 30 second walk from our home and it has many options. We are a 2 minute drive from shopping centers like Costco and Orchard Park Mall. We are a 10 minute drive from UBCO or the Okanagan College. We are also located right across the street from a beautiful walking path called teh Mission Creek Greenway which goes from our house all the way down to Lake Okanagan.

Meals
Hosts can offer a complimentary light breakfast at their discretion. All other meals, including a full breakfast, might incur an additional cost, if offered. Meals and any additional payment should be arranged directly with your host.

House Rules
1) No smoking
2) No loud noises after 10pm
3) No cooking after 9:00 pm
4) Everyone is responsible to clean and tidy up after themselves especially in the common areas Living room , Kitchen , bathroom and laundry room .
Your bedroom is your personal space .
5) any additional visitors to the property must be pre approved by homeowner .
We use “natural” clean products for housekeeping and laundry to contribute to a more health supportive home away from
home !
Any guests must be pre approved in consideration of shared living spaces .
Smoking Rules
Your host is a non-smoker.
Smoking is not allowed.

A wonderful home and amazing people. Both Linda and Don are super helpful and very kind. A great choice altogether!

My son stayed with Linda and Don for 7 weeks while he attended a course at the local college.
He said he was made to feel at home and was happy with the location.
He hopes to be able to stay with them again next year during his course.
I found Linda a delight to deal with as this was my first time booking with homestay and my sons first time away from home.Host reply
How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
