My home is on a centrally located residential street with only a few steps to public transportation, right outside the door. I have a very welcoming, cozy, comfortable home within walking distance of a coffee shop, a mall, restaurants, a gym, grocery stores, and more. The view on my large deck is of Mount Benson with lots of nature all around, including a small lake in the neighborhood.

About the Area
My home is located about 5 - 7 minutes from Downtown Nanaimo, British Columbia. Nanaimo is a 1 hour 40 minute ferry boat ride from West Vancouver. I am very centrally located, about 5-7 minutes ride from Departure Bay Ferry Terminal in Nanaimo, with a bus stop right outside my door, and a shopping centre about a 5 minute walk. My home is situated in a natural, beautiful part of the Vancouver Island. Long Lake is but a stone's throw away and is a beautiful walk through a wooded area which runs along a small lake.
Victoria is just over an hour drive away. There are many tourist attractions on the Island as well as we are very close to the Vancouver Island University. Many neighboring towns like Parksville, Qualicum Beach, Ladysmith, Cowichan Valley are all a very short distance for day trip visits.

Hosts can offer a complimentary light breakfast at their discretion. All other meals, including a full breakfast, might incur an additional cost, if offered. Meals and any additional payment should be arranged directly with your host.

House Rules
Arrival after 5:00 pm. Check out by noon. No showers after 10:00 pm. Telephone calls in the bedroom only and not before 7:30 am and after 10:00 pm. Continental breakfast included. Payment is required upon arrival at the homestay.

Great stay with Rita, I highly recommend stay with her, she was very kind and helpful , location is great not far from downtown by Bus-Sea bus and services around house.

Rita has a cozy appointment which is pleasant to stay there. She was very nice to me from beginning to end of my stay. I liked her patiance when taking the time to speak with me before arriving.

Rita was a wonderful host for my stay in Vancouver. Her place was clean and tidy and there was always a fresh pot of coffee ready for me in the morning. She recommended places I should visit and also gave me a lift to catch a bus when I was running late. I would definitely recommend anyone to stay here.

My stay at Rita´s home has been wonderful. Even though I booked last minute everything was perfectly prepared. It is a cozy, clean and calm room/household. Every morning I have been served a very delicious breakfast and when ever I needed help or a tip I could count on Rita. To summarize my stay: I felt welcome and at home since the first minute I arrived :) Therefore I would definitely recommend this homestay to everybody searching for a great place to stay in Vancouver.

The stay with Rita was excellent. Rita made sure i had everything i needed. The location is superb! Such a nice view, close to shops etc. Perfect experience, 10/10, will be staying again next time I'm in Vancouver.

How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
