Single individual living in the Edgemont Blvd., North Vancouver area. My daughters have moved out and I have 2 spare bedrooms with an adjoining bathroom available for rent. I have a wonderful garden and am close to the Edgemont village and close to public transportation.

About the Area
My house is located 1 block from Edgemont Village and is close to the Recreation Centre, 3 min walk. Also close to public transportation and about 20 minutes to downtown by bus. Also close to Grouse Mountain where you can either hike or take the gondola to the top and visit our famous bears, Grinder and Coola. The Capilano suspension bridge if always a treat for visitors as is the Cleveland dam. The area is full of trendy cafes, as well as some nice fashion boutiques and specialist shops.

We had a wonderful stay at Cora‘s home! The room has got everything you need, well furnished and very clean. We were allowed to use the kitchen at any time and enjoy the sun on the terrace. Cora is such a wonderful and open-hearted person. We already miss her jokes and sense of humour! Thank you for this great time at your lovely home.

Cora est disponible , accueillante et fort sympathique. Sa maison est propre, agréable et possède un très joli jardin. J'ai aussi apprécié le transport en commun, très facile d'accès, il y a également plusieurs commerces et boutiques aux alentours dans le village .
J'ai dormi comme un bébé dans un lit et une chambre très confortable, le quartier est également très calme .

Cora was our first homestay in Canada. We felt at home and Cora was friendly. She was helpful with suggestions of places to see and answered our questions. She even obtained some road maps for us. Clean and comfortable accommodation. A few minutes to the local shops, eateries and bus and able to park on her drive. Recommended! Thanks Cora!

Cora was absolutely wonderful and helped me get settled since I had just arrived in Vancouver. She even invited me to a baby shower which was lovely. From my experience it can often be awkward living in someone else's space but with Cora it was like being friends. I can definitely recommend staying with her!

We stayed at Cora's place for 5 nights and really enjoyed it. The room was spacious, clean, and very quiet. Cora was flexible about our time of arrival and departure. She offered breakfast and we could have access to the kitchen and garden. She also adviced us nicely about what we could do around the city. You can find all the facilities within a walking distance from her place. From 8pm, only 1 bus every hour to get home from Vancouver city center, but a Lyft/uber will cost you between 15/20 $ if you miss the bus.

Staying with Cora in Vancouver was an absolute joy! Her warm and caring nature made me feel right at home, and we got along so well that I looked forward to keeping in touch with her. Her thoughtful and attentive gestures made my stay even more special. The cozy and spacious pink room added to the wonderful experience. Cora's house is a delightful haven filled with warmth and charm. The beautiful garden, especially in summer, offers a peaceful escape. It was an unforgettable experience, and I highly recommend staying with this amazing host if you're coming to Vancouver!

Staying with Cora felt like staying with a friendly family member - comfy, cosy and relaxed! Room was great, comfy bed, attached bathroom a bonus, plus the use of kitchen (with breakky available) and outside space was fab :) Cora was super lovely and helpful, and told me about some fab Vancouver spots I wasn’t aware of, so got to explore some new places. Was a great way to spend my last week in Vancouver. Easy access to public transport, the village just up the street, and an easy walk the other way downhill to Marine Drive and shops and other buses there too. Definitely recommend, and would easily stay again when back in Canada. Thanks Cora!

How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
