Our home is open to female student guests only that are engaged in discovering new things with excitement and adventure. We are a family that loves wholesome music and the arts as well as going places unplanned. Though we have routines in place a little of spontaneity do spice up our lives as a family that we want to share with you our student guests. Located in the suburbs that is close to almost everything from schools, recreation, nature, resorts, shopping centers, our new single detached home is offering one (1) shared room that can sleep a maximum of 2 guests. Local buses are just steps away from our door that can take you to the main GO Transit and Pickering Town Center. Free use of unlimited High-speed internet, TV and microwave. We believe that learning while having fun lasts for a lifetime and need not be expensive for it is your disposition that matters. Thus, you can expect us to be informal but respectful with lots of humor as we really love to laugh. Welcome to our family -- Alexandra

About the Area
Our house is located on the north side of the city in a quiet and safe suburb. We are 2 km from the city centre and only 30 minutes drive from the airport.
The bus stop is only 2 minutes walk from the house and there are lots of bus options using this stop. The coast is a 10 minute drive.
The area is full of trendy cafes, bars and restaurants as well as some nice fashion boutiques and specialist shops.

Meals
Hosts can offer a complimentary light breakfast at their discretion. All other meals, including a full breakfast, might incur an additional cost, if offered. Meals and any additional payment should be arranged directly with your host.

House Rules
No smoking, drinking, recreational drug /substance use including cannabis during your stay;
Maintain room and common areas cleanliness by tidy up after yourself;
Reasonable limiting time for use of bathroom by considering other guests & family members in the home;
Turn-off anything when not in use and lock-up before leaving;
Receiving friends and relatives in the home is suspended;
Do not share my home address/contact information to your school friends & acquaintances as well as house keys and/or access codes;
Refrain from posting photos of my family & home in internet web and social media;
Lights out & no noise by 10PM; and
Take care of our property as you would with your own.
Requirements before confirmation of booking:
1) Proof of fully vaccination with government issued QR code;
2) Government issued photo ID with birthdate and address;
3) Police clearance for adult students and companion of minor students;
4) When arriving before booking date - photocopy of passport including entry and length of stay in Canada;
4) Full payment upon confirmation of your booking / before arrival;
5) Host have the right to refuse guests if item # 1-5 is not complied with.

My daughter spend a week at a High School in Pickering and stayed with Alexandra and her family. Kira felt very welcome right away and till the end. Alexandra was a wonderful host and Kira would definitely love to come back to spend more time in Pickering .
Everything was nice, clear and cozy. The bus stop is just across the street. Friendly neighborhood.Just the perfect place for a young student! !!
How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
