We are a young family that has been warmly welcoming international students into our home for over a year. It’s been a joy meeting people from diverse cultures, and we look forward to sharing that experience with you. Your room is located at the end of the hallway, offering privacy. It includes a twin-sized bed, a study desk with a lamp, and shelves for your personal belongings. The washroom is shared only with guests, if any are staying at the time.
Our home is situated in the picturesque Steveston Village, just a 3-minute walk from the nearest bus stop, which provides easy access to the City Centre. You’ll also find a lovely park, the scenic dyke, and the charming Steveston Village, all just a short stroll away. Upon request, we’re happy to offer a light breakfast (toast, yogurt, cereal, and tea), as well as fridge space, and access to the microwave and toaster oven.
We have twin boys, age nine, who are full of energy and love sports, along with our elderly miniature dachshund, who’s curious and friendly. Our home is strictly non-smoking and non-vaping, and due to the young boys, we kindly ask that our homestay guests not invite visitors.
We’re easy-going and busy with work and the boys’ activities, but we’re always here to offer tips, local recommendations, and any help you may need, while fully respecting your privacy and space.

We kindly ask that there be no smoking or vaping in our home, and we maintain a drug-free environment (including marijuana). As we have young children, we also request that homestay guests not invite visitors to ensure a safe and comfortable space for everyone.

How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
