About the Homestay
My name is Kristine, I'm a nurse and a college professor, but currently a stay home mom. Therefore, I am always available to assist the guest all the time. My husband, Marlon, works as an operational manager at a safety supply distribution company. My older daughter is 2 years old, she is very energetic and friendly. While my 2nd daughter is just a.amonth and a week and is very quiet all the time especially at night.
I have 7 years of experience hosting female students from Korea, Japan, China and Mexico and I love it! Therefore, my husband and I would like to teach our daughter the importance of being diversed multiculturally and this is one of the reason why my family would like to open our home for homestay.
I love to cook and bake; therefore, you will be well taken care of. I can pick-up in the airport for a small fee.

The evening meal is a time that we all try to sit together and chat about the days events and it is one of the many family traditions that help to bond the family. If you are not going to be home for a meal telephone me or text my mobile before 5 pm. We usually eat between 6 and 7 pm. If you are going to be late for a meal let me know so that I can leave something for you. You can send a text message to my mobile.
Your bedroom is your private sanctuary, and all family members and students are expected to respect the privacy of each other’s bedroom. Please respect one another in regards to the bedrooms and each other’s privacy. The exception to this rule is the mother/big sister has right to enter any room for safety or hygiene reasons. If you need to talk to another person and they are in their room knock on the door and wait for the person to answer. You must make your bed each morning when you wake up each day. Please keep your bedroom clean and tidy, this means find a place to put everything do not leave lots of things on your desk, the floor or your bed. No food should be taken into the bedroom. If you have food in the bedrooms, then infestations of ants, bedbugs or rat might start. Please place your rubbish in the bins provided in the home. When you leave your bedroom switch your light and fan off. Turn the bathroom fan and light off when you have finished in these rooms.
-This is a non-smoking home, smoking is not allowed inside the house.
-All lights are off after 11pm or 12midnight. Hallway lights will be available. If you are going to stay up late studying please turn off the light after you study.

-Please do not use electrical appliances (toaster/iron etc) or cooking facilities without first checking with me, how they are to be used correctly. Again I will be cooking for all of us.
*I understand that some of the rules may seem strange to you and that you will need time to adjust to them. Please come and speak to me of any worries or problems that I can help you with.*
