About the Homestay
Welcome to Lesley's homestay which is located in the central area of Toronto and very close to everything. There are lots of parks and stores and bike lanes in the area. There is a bus right at the door which goes to both subway lines, in just a few minutes. This is a peaceful, family area. The house is large and bright and has lovely furnished bedrooms. Peaceful, quiet environment, Non smoking/drugs This is central and it is easy to get to U of T and downtown. There is light cooking only in the house which means no strong smells, no frying with oil , no spices.. I have a sensitivity to smells. Visitors are expected to clean up after themselves and be neat and organized. Good place for someone who travels lightly. The house has many plants which I access once or twice a week. The bedroom doors and bathroom are left open when out to allow air circulation and light in the house. It is expected to share with mature persons with basic common sense like turning off lights, not wet towels on bed, wood etc. Conservation and recycling too.
Anyone who wishes to book should write and give a little information re self.. ie purpose of the visit to Toronto, ( school, work etc) , and some personal habits/values ie tidy, travels lightly, etc. Try to get a good fit with all.

I was at Lesley’s place for only 10 days but I enjoyed my stay at her place very much. You won’t find anything cheaper with this quality and central location. The room was simple, clean, and adequate. Though there are three other guests, it is a very quiet place and I had never any issues using the bathroom, kitchen, washroom. Lesley is good at responding to messages and is accommodating to reasonable requests.
Host is nice and helpful . The place is accessible to transit and quiet. I don't mind going to her place in the future.
Had a very nice stay. Lesley takes good care of her guests. Great location with nearby bus stops, large grocery store and a neighbourhood pub.
Being close to Lesley is learning all the time, from the right pronunciation of English, she is a teacher, even in her spare time, and also about life. Your son, Kelvin, is also a nice guy. It was good to meet them. Hugs
I've enjoyed my stay so much, that I've extended it! Have very much enjoyed meeting, and getting to know, Lesley!
The house is too big (you can have 4 housemates, so 5 people for 1 bathroom + Leslie, but she has her own bathroom downstairs) and gets really cold in the winter. My mattress/bed was not good - but others were ok. There are several strict house rules which you should be willing to follow - mostly to do with cleaning and keeping the kitchen and bathroom under control for everyone. There´s not much room in the kitchen cabinets or in the fridge for our food. Beware of smells and cooking is mostly out of the question. Also, we had a problem with mice while I stayed there.
Leslie is a nice person, though. And the neighborhood is ok.
This guest awarded the host 3 hearts but didn’t leave any comments.
