We live in a detached home in Seaton Village, in downtown Toronto. Your room is bright, sunny and furnished. The ground floor is open concept and is funky - exposed brick, wood floors with a yard off the back with a BBQ and long harvest table for outdoor dinner parties. We live in a friendly neighbourhood with lots of parks, stores and close to TTC subway.
We are a working mom, a teenage high school student (fully bilingual in French) and a friendly, cute as a button, dog. We've hosted students in the past and love integrating them into our home and community.
We eat fun, healthy meals, play lots of games and great music!

Deb was a great host. Her house was tidy, clean yet homely. Deb and her son really welcomed me into Toronto life; invited me to lots of local and family events (some I attended, some I didn’t- neither a problem) . Great suggestions of things to do from a locals perspective.
The freedom to either cook on my own, or eat with them. The room was nice sized, enough plug sockets, good wardrobe space with shelves (limited hangers ; bring your own!). It did get dusty , even with the window opens but this wasn’t a problem with weekly clean/dust.
I really enjoyed my stay, and I was sad for it to be cut short due to COVID-19. Would recommend to any traveller or student!
Thank you Deb & Dev!
How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.

Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
