We have been hosting guests from overseas for 16 years. We are fully prepared to host guests during the Covid 19 pandemics. I am an operating room technician at St Michael's Hospital. By following the safety rules we hope to lower the chance of getting infected. My husband is an English teacher and a wilderness guide. When he doesn't teach, he takes people to the Canadian boreal forest skiing and dog sledding when there is snow, and canoeing and kayaking when the snow is gone. Our guests get 20% discount for all the trips he guides during their stay. Our homestay program includes three meals per day and it is included in the homestay charge. The guests prepare their breakfast and lunch out of the produce that is in the refrigerator, and I cook dinner in the evening.
We live in a red brick house in Toronto. Across the street, there is a big park that takes you to the shore of Lake Ontario. It is in a walking distance from Humber College, Lakeshore Campus. There is no need to use public transportation if you study there. If you want to go downtown, a bus will take you to the subway in less than ten minutes.

About the Area
Our house is located on a quiet residential street. About 250 m south, there is Lake Shore Boulevard W. with streetcars and buses taking you downtown. Across the boulevard there is a big park with mature trees that stretches all the way to Lake Ontario . It is a waking distance from Humber College Lakeshore Campus.

they were really kindness and taught me a lot of information.n there is Ontalio lake about 10 min by foot from their home.down tawn also be able to about 1 hour from their home.food was really delicious too.

I spent a very nice homestay with Joanna and Pawel. I enjoyed the discussions we had together. My hosts did everything to make my stay pleasant. If help or advice was needed, they were always available to answer the questions. If you need a homestay in Toronto, do not hesitate, contact them, you won't be disappointed.

It was like family, it's not only a place to stay but also somewhere where you can exchange a lot and really mingle with the daily life of the family! I recommend it with great pleasure!
How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
