Larissa and Julian live in a lovely Edwardian three-story home in the downtown west end of Toronto. Their High Park neighbourhood has been voted one of the city's best by Toronto Life magazine. The house is located two blocks from Toronto's biggest 160-hectare park, two blocks to the bike trails of Lake Ontario, and two blocks to the trendy shops, restaurants and fruit and veggie markets of Roncesvalles Avenue.

The location is also fantastic for public transport and is an easy five-minute walk to the Dundas, College, Queen and King Street streetcars. You can also walk to the subway in 20 minutes, or grab a streetcar up in 10.

Larissa is a writer and editor and Julian is a design professor at a Toronto university. They live with a puppy and two hilarious cats and like to joke around themselves, as well as cook great meals, take long walks, socialize and generally have a good time.

The house is on a very leafy street because of its proximity to High Park. It's also a safe street. Inside, you'll find a kitchen, dining room and living room filled with lots of antiques to match the age of the place (more than 100 years), as well as three bedrooms, a TV room and two bathrooms.

About the Area

Our house is located in what is possibly the best neighbourhood in the city: High Park/Roncesvalles, in Toronto's downtown west end. It's located two blocks from the 160-hectare High Park, two blocks from Lake Ontario, and two blocks from the trendy shops and restaurants of Roncesvalles Avenue, which even has a cinema. It's also very safe and very green.

Transit is plentiful because of the convergence of main arteries: you can pick up the Queen and King streetcars in about a five-minute walk, and the Dundas and College streetcars in about an eight-minute walk. The subway is a five-minute streetcar ride away, or about a 20-minute walk up Roncesvalles Ave. We are about 25 minutes from the airport, which is located just outside the city.

I had a wonderful time with Larissa and Jules. They are a lovely couple and I immediately felt at home in their beautiful and comfortable house. The area is very quiet yet with everything at a very short distance. I highly encourage anyone who is thinking to explore the city of Toronto to choose this family who can guarantee the nicest stay possible!

How do I book?

Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.

You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile.
