About the Area

We are close to EVERYTHING! It's a beautiful neighborhood and neighbors are generally quiet and respectful. You have plenty of bike shops in the neighborhood if you'd like to rent a bicycle - let me know - I've got one I can rent to you for $5/day. There are also many different local city buses that can take you downtown or to the north shore where you can explore North & West Vancouver and don't forget, you're only two blocks from big, beautiful Stanley Park!

House Rules

Please remember the Golden rule, 'Treat this space and the building as you would want others to treat yours'.

Please make yourself comfortable in the space and ask me if you need help with something. If you want to use some spices or things like honey for flavoring your food - go ahead, just let me know if you use the last of it so I can get some more! I have lots of cups and bowls, pots and pans plus a microwave and the top shelf of the fridge and more if needed. I've even kept a few shelves of cabinets free for you to put your food, should you decide to do a portion of your eating (and cooking) here.

Quiet hours in the building are from 10pm-8am. No loud partying or inviting people back to the apartment obviously, but having a good time and staying up past 10pm is fine as long as you are respectful. In fact, I tend to be a bit more of a night owl myself!

I would prefer non-smoking guests, but if you are a smoker, you could smoke outside the building. There is cover there should it be raining.

Sorry no children or pets please. I'm not a Scrouge, really I'm not but this space doesn't lend itself well to kids or animals.

Please contact me before you arrive so we can make plans to meet up. Avoid showing up unannounced and expecting someone to let you in. If I'm not here to let you in, please text or call me to see where I am and wait for me. You're a block away from a mini-mall and stores so if you need to kill some time you can go there until I return. None of this should happen though if we are in touch with each other at least 3 hours before you arrive at my door. The manager will not let you in, please avoid buzzing him. We will meet him however once you're settled.

You'll be sharing the bathroom kitchen and dining area. The bedroom will be yours pretty much exclusively although I do have clothes hanging up in half the closet...I'll make sure to pull anything I may need for myself out before you arrive so I will not have to enter your room while you're there.

You will get your own set of keys for the building and the suite. I'm on the second floor so you can either take the stairs or the elevator.

When we meet the landlord, he can tell us more about the barbecue rules with the 10th floor deck area...if you'd like to utilize that area.

I'm happy to help with ideas, direction, helping you look up places of interest, maybe even go with you on the odd trip if you'd want my company. I'm here to help and be of service. I will do what I can to help make your stay as enjoyable as you want it to be.

There are laundry facilities we can use. The machines work very well and are coin operated. The best times to use them are Thursday, Friday and Saturday afternoons but check with me first and I'll show you the laundry schedule downstairs.

We do ask guests to treat this space as if you owned it. Please take off your shoes when you walk in. Clean up after yourself when you cook and eat. That means washing your dirty pots and dishes and wiping down any wet areas in the kitchen.

Please do the same with anything in the bathroom after use (i.e. shower, toilet, sink).

Smoking is not allowed.
