My Family have been hosting international student from different countries for more than 10 years. We are a family that you can easily get along with us, because we treat you as a part of the family. Our house is close to the bus stop and skytrain station, 10 minutes going to downtown. We close to many restaurant and superstore in our neighboorhood.

About the Area
our house is located close to the skytrain and a very quiet and safe neighborhood, we are close to downtown, 10 minutes by skytrain. 1 minutes walk to bus stop and 5 minutes walk to skytrain. There are a lots of restaurant and store in our neighborhood. The area is full of trendy cafes, restaurant and stores. and close to trout lake park. Accessable of any public transportation.

Staying at Estela's house has been the best way to start my life in Canada. She is a very nice, respectful, and welcoming person. I enjoyed my stay at her house.

Estela and her family are very kind and easy-going people, they don't shut you out but know how to give you your personal space so you don't feel invaded. They were always very thoughtful and knew how to solve every problem that arose. Estela is also a very interesting person and easy to talk to on a wide range of subjects, she was also often bringing us bread from her work, which is really lovely. This house is home to (adorable) cats, so it's important to note this if you have an allergy. I loved my stay and hope to come back here again if I ever return to Vancouver!

Estela was an awesome host. She is a travsllee and has a warm heart. She and her family were always willing me to help me anything I needed.
She was attentive but at the same time she gave me the space to have my experience.

Estela é uma pessoa com muita empatia, excelente anfitriã. Fui acolhida por ela,filha e família com muita cordialidade. Recomendo e destaco os seguintes pontos:respeito a privacidade, liberdade de horário,segurança, ótima ducha, cozinha acessível em qualquer horário, aquecimento,luminosidade, ventilação e muito importante - a estação de trem Nanaimo próxima de casa. Eu demorava exatos 15 minutos desde que saia de casa até a Escola de Inglês que ficava no centro da cidade. Excelente custo benefício pela localização. É um local simples e acolhedor, mas de pessoas que trabalham/tem compromissos fora de casa. Atentem-se que é perfeito para pessoas mais descoladas e independentes. Eu pretendo retornar numa próxima estada

I only stayed for 2 nights as there was no central heating in my room, only in the kitchen. I guess this may work for some people but was not sufficient for me. I slept with my big ski outdoors jacket on, as the room was freezing cold at night.

I enjoyed staying at Estela's house, she was polite and gave me the space that I needed. The place is well located close to the Nanaimo Train Station and at 30 minutes from downtown. Thanks Estela.

How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
