My family and I are interested in having Students from all over Canada and the world come and stay with us. We are a family of 4 with a nice bright comfortable home
One Zone Traveling in 15 minutes to downtown by sky train, UBC in 35 minutes by transit Express 43,bus 41 bus 33. Transit 19 to downtown as well. Take the bus to the 29th Avenue skytrain and 10 minutes skytrain ride to get downtown(13 minutes total to downtown) Our house is close to Slocan park, Norway Park, Killarney high School, Supermarkets and Langara College are minutes away school, Killarney and Renfrew community center(swimming pool, whirl pool, sauna, gym, yoga) and Collingwood public library. It takes 5 minutes skytrain ride to the largest shopping center in BC(Metrotown shopping center) The location of our house is perfect for international students, where most of the English schools are located.

House Rules
We require a copy of photo ID or passport for security reasons and intended start/end date of your stay. We also require a 50$ (Under 2 weeks) or half the stay (more than 2 weeks) deposit fee.
Usually we would like for the room and suite to be clean when guests check out, the same when they check in. Please wash bed/pillow/blanket sheet, take out the trash, clean the bedroom, bathroom and kitchen when you check out. If everything is clean, then we return the deposit fee to the guests. If you do not want to clean it, then we will use the deposit fee to hire a cleaner. Welcome non smoker, light cook, quiet student or clean person.
We prefer to be payed in full when you check in, in cash. The deposit will be returned in cash too. If you have to shorten your stay with us, please contact homestay.com to cancel the booking if the time remain of the booking is more than 1 weeks, then we will return the left over fees. If the time remain of the booking is less than 1 week, there will be no refund.

Pretty nice people, will help you get around the city. Accommodations are shared and cleanliness can vary according to the other guests; especially in the bathroom, it could be better. There is an available kitchen for you to use and the bedroom is really clean and comfy.

Whole stay was very comfortable, family was very kind and helpful. I would definitely recommend staying here as not only is it in a good location, but the place is nice as well!

You won't feel like a family. They live in the second floor and the students in the basement. The internet doesn't work all the time. Finally, rent an apartment is better than living in their house.

We are deeply sorry that you had feel like that living with us. All the other international students who had stayed with us were 20 or older and they greatly enjoy their independent so staying the ground floor suite is easier for them to connect with other students in the same suite and practice their language skills better. We had an amazing time there. It was a beautiful room and a comfortable house with lovely views around and easy connectivity to downtown. The hosts are very nice, polite and extremely helpful.

Very quiet place that I used as a stop gap when I arrived with PR status. Only thing is, I stayed in the basement and the Wi-Fi was extremely tempremental and at times not accessible.

How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
