We have 1 private room available in a 2 bedroom unit with a shared bathroom, shared kitchen and shared living space. Our homestay suite is separate from the family space upstairs . Your private room with closet is furnished with a double bed (with 'Endy' memory foam mattress), nightstand, desk, and dresser. Your monthly fee of $1100 includes internet, utilities, and in-suite laundry. Meals are not provided. THIS ROOM WILL BE AVAILABLE SEPTEMBER 1 2022.
We live in Mount Pleasant, which is central Vancouver, and close to many amenities, including restaurants, shopping, community centers, libraries, swimming pools, and is a short 15min bus ride to downtown Vancouver. We live within 1-5 blocks of 3 different transit stops that will take you anywhere in Vancouver (east/west, north/south, downtown Vancouver, Metrotown, skytrains). Schools that are close by transit include UBC, Langara College, Douglas College, BCIT, SFU Downtown, Vancouver Community College, and many international schools located downtown Vancouver.
We have 2 young children, ages 3 years and 5 years. We enjoy outdoor activities that include hiking, going to the beach, swimming, enjoying city parks, skiing/snowboarding and water sports. We also enjoy quiet time reading at home, going to the movies, and walking around the neighborhood. We have visited many different countries and enjoy experiencing other cultures - we have been to Mexico, Philippines, Hong Kong, Thailand, Vietnam, Taiwan, Laos, Japan, Germany and Netherlands.

Our home is located in East Vancouver in a family and pet friendly neighborhood. We live beside 2 parks and are within walking distance of 2 other great city parks, a library, a community center, hospital, restaurants, and shopping. We live within 1-5 blocks of 3 different transit stops that can take you to skytrain stations to downtown Vancouver or Richmond, or east/west towards University of British Columbia or Metrotown Shopping Centre.

How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
