My Name is Stephen. My family and I are interested in having Students from all over Canada and the world come and stay with us. We are a family of 5 with a nice bright comfortable home that we are happy to share with a student who is away from home for the first time. Our home is very accessible to public transit, the bus is across the street and the Skytrain is just a short stroll away. Supermarkets and Langara College are minutes away.
We offer safe, clean accommodations with two delicious, nutritious meals a day (Breakfast/Dinner) because We know how expensive it is to eat in Vancouver and we know that to prepare a meal takes so much time that you simple don’t have with your studies. we cook a wide Variety of foods from many cultures we believe in healthy food so I always have lots of fresh fruits and vegetables of Course with a wide Variety of meat. We love to BBQ. talk together around the table, play games and in general remind you that you have a second family here for you.
We currently have shared bedrooms along with 2 bathrooms, living space to watch TV, DVD player and PlayStation 3, wireless Internet and laundry facilities.

This location is Very Walkable so most errands can be accomplished on foot.
We are 27 minute walk from the 980 CANADA LINE SkyTrain at the LANGARA-49TH AVENUE STATION stop.
This location is in the Sunset neighborhood in Vancouver. Nearby parks include Sunset Park, George Park and Moberly Park.
Nearby schools include Pierre Elliott Trudeau Elementary School, All Season Driving School and Fraser Music Studio.
The closest grocery stores are Michael's Discount Foods, Delhi Pan and Fruiticana Ltd.
Nearby coffee shops include Roots Cafe, Starbucks and Saigon Fare Cafe. There are 28 restaurants within a 15 minute walk including Best Quality Sweets, Canan 2 For 1 Pizza and Vancouver Veggie Pizza.
We are also near University of British Columbia.
There are minimal bike lanes and the terrain is mostly flat. The streets are somewhat bikeable, there is minimal bike infrastructure.

About the Area
We are also close to all major banks and bus transits so getting to that certain school wont be an issue. We are close to John Oliver Secondary, Langara College. You can either bus to downtown,metrotown or even walk to the skytrain station.

House Rules
1) Early Mornings (before 8:00am) and evenings (after 10:00pm) Please close door and gate quietly. Also please ensure that doors and gates are closed and locked at all times and no one is allowed to enter the home without prior notice from us.
2) Please turn off any lights and/or other electrical devices when not in use or when leaving a room.
3) You may decorate your room as you like (this does not include paint or wallpaper). Keeping your room neat and orderly is your responsibility. Your room will be clean once a week. Wet clothes should not be left on the floor.
4) For any of our guests that are above the age of consent there is no curfew, however we ask that you respect others and please be quiet when entering the house after 10:00pm
5) Guest are welcome IF you make arrangements with us ahead of time. No sleepovers will be allowed, your guest must leave before 11:00pm unless approved by us.
6) You will have your own laundry basket and will do your own laundry, you can use the family’s laundry detergent and drier sheets. If there are already clothes in the washing machine or drier, please remove them and place them in a laundry basket on top of the drier. You have clean sheets on your bed and are welcome to wash and change them once a week.
Please note that laundry hours are from 9:00am - 10:00pm daily
7) Please open the bathroom doors when you are finished using the bathroom. Close the bathroom doors when you are in the bathrooms. Always knock on doors before entering. Towels are in the linen Closet if required. Please hang wet towels up to dry when you finish using them. Please supply your own toiletries (soap, shampoo, toothbrush, toothpaste, ect)
8) If you decide to move out early, You must gve a 30-days notice. Students who do not give a 30-day notice concerning moving out should not expect a pro-rated discount in the last month or a refund of homestay fees for any days pain in advance. If you are asked to leave immediately as a result of gross misconduct, no refund will be available.
9) No Smoking inside the house at ALL TIMES. Only outside the house

How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
