About the Homestay
We live in a townhouse located in central North Vancouver close to all amenities. I work full time, and my son is enrolled in university studies. We love going fishing on sunny days. There are no pets in the house. My house is kept clean and tidy and we treat you like family.
The room fee includes a light self-serve breakfast, and I provide meals upon request. The daily rate for a warm meal which is called "dinner" is $10 and optional. This can be requested prior to arrival. My dinners are home-cooked and well balanced. Shortened stays are non-refundable.
I am looking to host a guest who is independent between the ages 18 to 30 years and will be enrolled in an English Study program or doing an internship during their visit.
Smoking is not permitted inside the house.

About the Area
Our home is a 3 bedroom town house located near all amenities within walking distance. The buses from our house can be reached within 3 minutes walking. The travel time on the bus from North Vancouver to Downtown takes approx. 20 minutes. The closest mall is the Capilano Mall next to the bus stop which is very convenient for shopping anytime during the week.

I had a wonderful stay at Maria`s home. Maria is very kind, amiable and helpful; she became a good friend. Her home is cosy, clean and perfect to feel at home. The location is very convenient, close to bus stops (including night bus from downtown) and shopping facilities. Highly recommended!
How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 199 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
