My family live in a 100 year old Heritage Home in a very safe, quiet neighborhood only 10 minutes by bus to downtown Vancouver and easily accessible to the ski resorts in North Vancouver. The house was purchased by my husband's grandfather in the 1920's and we are the 3rd generation to live here. It has a lovely warm family atmosphere.
We have a 2 bedroom apartment on the street level of our home which is where we have hosted students or visitors in the past. The apartment has a private entrance and a kitchenette with microwave, toaster oven suitable for light snacks. There is also a sitting room with a TV and Wifi.
In back of the house we have a deck and BBQ area where we love to sit with our guests an enjoy those lovely Vancouver days and evenings.
We have always enjoyed sharing our culture and introducing visitors to our beautiful City. My daughter is fluent in Spanish having lived in Mexico for 8 years.

Had a very pleasant time staying with Jacqui in her lovely home. We were very comfortable, and Jacqui was nice & helpful and made sure our stay was enjoyable & easy. She kindly invited us to dinner the first night. Place was lovely & warm. Nice hot shower with glass screen like we are used to in Australia. It was great to be able to self cater as well. Recommend you stay here, was only a shortish bus ride from downtown.

I spent 2 incredible weeks at Jacqueline's house. She is a lovely and friendly woman. The house was nice, quite and clean, situated a 5 minute walk from the bus stop. Would definitely recommend this house to everyone. Hope to come back soon!

Jackie's place was perfect for my stay! She was a gracious host and provided me with all the information that I needed about the area and how to get around. The neighbourhood is so lovely and quiet but close enough to grocery stores and conveniences. The apartment itself has its own access which meant I could comfortably come and go at whatever hour without disturbing Jackie and her family.
The apartment itself was comfortable for a longer term stay. I rented one bedroom for 2 weeks, but no one else occupied the other room while I was there so I had the basement to myself. I frequently enjoyed using the kitchen. There was no stove, but there was an electric pan, rice cooker, and toaster oven which were sufficient for cooking everyday meals.
Overall, I had a great stay and would recommend it for anyone looking for a comfortable home-away-from-home for their stay in Vancouver.

I recommend this place!July 2018
Spend some days in Jacquie's house was amazing, she's so cute, a lovely person. She welcome me how I was her family. She helped me a lot about tours, foods and all.. So about Jacqueline, I'm sure that everybody will love her.
About her house and guest bedroom I don't have anything for complain. We have totally privacy there, she has her your house in up floor and in down is guest's house, has kitchen, TV room, washroom totally sort out her house, and has one door on direction outside for more privacy, one thing that I liked a Lot, because we can return for house any hour that we don't both her.
The Vancouver's public transport is so good and easy for use it. Has some app, like "transit", who we can see where and the time the bus will be there and how we'll go for our trip. There is one bus stop on one block from Jacqueline'S house.
We really recommend stay in Jacqueline's house.. She and her family, special your daughter Dawn, are amazing people that helped me for Turned my vacation more amazing. Tks very much.Host reply
