There are three bedrooms, one living room, one dining room, one bathroom and a kitchen. The bathroom is very clean with hot water and washing machine. The guest room is well-decorated and has a large window with beautiful view. We will have fast speed wireless internet for free and free VPN which is very important for you to log in facebook and youtube in China!
[ Location and transportation ]
Our apartment is located at Wuchang Nan Xiang road, downtown of Dalian, China. It is near to the Labor park. Transportation is very convenient here. There is also a Carrefour and Tesco near our apartment.
There were 7 friends from Australia, Germany, Canada, Ireland and USA who lived in my home for 1 or 2 months since 2010. They really enjoyed studying and living here. I would love to welcome more guests from all over the world to visit me at Dalian!

I stayed with John and his family for approx. 1 month and I am happy I chose this kind of accommodation over hotel. I could learn about Chinese culture of modern Chinese and I also combined it with Chinese classes that John provided (through his school).
John's family is very friendly - his wife and John's father speak English well and while his mum didn't speak a word of English (you can practice your Chinese with her:) she was very warm and welcoming (she reminded me of my own grand-ma).
The room/apartment was clean and I could use their own wi-fi to connect to the internet.
When John and his wife had free time they took me to see nice places in Dalian and if they didn't have the time they gave me advice on how to get around.
Overall I would highly recommend staying with John, I can't imagine better introduction to modern China.
How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
