Do you feel like trying something different? Would you like to stay in an old farmhouse village hostel?
Yangshuo old cultural house is an old building dating back to the Qing Dynasty. Being located in the middle of Yulong village, it's a well kept secret that not many foreigners get the opportunity to experience. The village itself is located next to the banks of the Yulong River, which is spanned by the Yulong bridge (built in 1412). Hot weather provides the perfect opportunity to go down to the river to swim and have water fights! Yulong village is one of the most famous villages in Yangshuo which still retains a lot of ancient architecture. Our house is located only 12km from Yangshuo West Street which offers tourists the experience to peak into the past of ancient China. Homestay at Yulong Village will give you the opportunity to get a feel of the traditional lifestyle of a Chinese villager.
Our house is located a short bicycle ride away from Baisha town. When you reach the town there are many things to do including playing basketball in the Cultural Square.
Released in 1987, Jiang Wen starred in a French film called "Le Palanquin des Larmes Sedan" ("Tears of the Bridal Sedan"). Portions of the movie were filmed in our courtyard.
Our house is quiet and close to nature. Guests can take a relaxing walk in the village to enjoy the traditional architecture, have a bike riding along Yulong River, or even take a bamboo raft to enjoy the mountains. Free WiFi is available and covers the entire hostel.
Our house represents an opportunity to escape from the stress and chaos of big cities into a cozy, relaxing getaway. Here, you will enjoy the true Chinese countryside in all its timeless glory. Why not swap the relentless noise and Neon Lights of Yangshuo city for the warm glow of fireflies and croaking of frogs? Yangshuo old cultural house should be your number one choice to get a taste of the true countryside and nature of China.

Our stay with coco was just what we needed - very relaxing! And the home cooked food was absolutely delicious. The pork congee and ginger milk tea were the perfect breakfast, and the green pear and lotus root were delicious, as well as the beef dishes (my fave was the cumin). We wish we could have stayed longer and learned calligraphy or tai chi!

I’d have to say that Coco’s guesthouse is truly a unique experience for anyone who is traveling with an open mind and willing to partake in Chinese culture. Coco and her friendly husband conversed in English and made sure I arrived with ease to their secluded traditional house and cooked amazing food. Also she included me in the lives of her other guests and all-in-all, I was so happy to stay and learn from her. I totally recommend biking in the area and exploring the villages nearby. Thanks, Coco and plan to return

Nice, cosy place well outside the mad bustle of Yangshuo. We were happy to meander on free bicycles on quiet village roads to go to JiuXian and even all the way to Moon Hill. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The courtyard is a pleasure to relax in during the afternoons. We had some lovely meals prepared for us by Coco's husband. We recommend this place to anyone wanting to relax in the Yanghsuo!

For those going to Guilin/Yangshuo to see the sights, staying outside of the main city areas is best. This homestay is located in a small alley tucked away from most of the busy, touristy areas--however, it is very easy to get to those areas by bike or bus (the Yulong river is actually within walking distance). The hosts are generous, kind, helpful and do their best to please everyone. They cook fantastic food and the property itself is a beautiful traditional Chinese home. The rooms are cozy and have very comfortable beds. Highly recommended.
