We are a small family, just my husband Nelson and me. As a family we enjoy traveling around the country, walking, watching movies, listening music and laughing together. We recently restyled our house so we enjoy to be at home even though we have no children and no pets. It is a three-level house with a small garden in front, the house is illuminated by the sun during the day and night stays very warm. We have three bedrooms, a study room, a mezzanine. On the first floor is the kitchen where we spent much time talking a lot, beside is the dining area and living room. A bright and small conservatory opens onto a patio that is perfect for BBQ in the sunny days. The neighborhood is quiet and secure. It is located northwest of the city. The house is a 5 minute walk to the nearest bus station called “Transmilenio Portal”. The residential complex has a private green area where every morning I work out, you can do the same.

I am available to speak English. If you come to Colombia in order to learn Spanish I will be glad to support you in your learning process because I have a degree in modern languages with a major in Spanish and first of all because I love Spanish language and the culture in surroundings. If you want formal classes, totally individual at home, this have an extra cost of US$25 per hour.

About the Area
Our house is located in a residential complex close to the north of the city where the recreation areas, shopping centers and cultural activities are. The house is just 5 minutes´ walk from supermarket, post office, café, restaurants and cinema and only 5 minutes by bus central station (called Portal de Transmilenio) where there are a lot of bus option to everywhere in the city.
The house is only 20 minute drive from the airport. We are 9 km from the business centre area of the city and 9 km from the bars, cafes, restaurants, pubs and party areas, it is 30 minutes driving with a regular traffic.
Accessing the city centre (where there are the most of museums) is simple as the public bus system (called Transmilenio); the house is 18 km from the city centre, the route in Trasmilenio takes 40 minutes.

Meals

House Rules
Please enjoy your stay and treat hour house as you would your own home. After 11 pm please avoid make noise. Please do not invite stranger into our home; if you would like to invite a friend over just agree it with me in advance.

How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
