We are a lovely paisa family willing to welcome in our little piece of heaven those who are interested in learning the Spanish language, or simply share with us their stay in this country.
Our family is made up of Johny (dad), Elizabeth (mom), Daniel (son) and Sara (daughter), Daniel and Sara speak English and Elizabeth and Johny are excellent hosts.
We like family life and quiet, we can make your stay in the city in Medellin the best experience you can take to your country.
Our house is a quiet and modern place with an excellent view of the city, with large and bright spaces.
We can offer transport to the subway and some tours around the city and an excellent company, Daniel and Sara are university students who can also share all their experience in this wonderful city.

Our house is located north of the city in a rural and quiet place 5 minutes from the first Metro station and the Puerta del Norte shopping center, it also has a security and porter system to enter the unit

This could not have been a better experience. The room I rented is spacious with a stunning view of the mountains and valley below, seen via wall-to-wall glass patio doors you can open to sit outside and marvel at what you see. It is on the lower level of the house, separated from the family quarters, so you have privacy. It is modern room with a big screen tv, wifi, and a desk where you can work. The full bath seems very new and is spotless. Sara is willing to take you to the train station, and the son will take you to the airport. The taxis from the airport know how to reach the house. It is high on a hill in with two security checkpoints, and all houses are safe and secure. Ana will cook and bring you the best Colombia food, hot chocolate, and coffee you will have, and she always does it with a smile. You can practice your Spanish, of course. The family will invite you go with them, if you want to get gifts and souvenirs to take home. I don't believe I've ever stayed with a nicer family, nor in a quieter and more serene and secure place. (It cost $57 for three days and nights!) There are no worries there. Relax, sleep late, wake up to a great view and enjoy the hospitality and kindness of a wonderful family, while tossing away forever any misconceptions and stereotypes about Medellin. iViva Colombia! iVuelvo pronto!

Great hosts. The familly is really friendly. Elizabeth took me to the metro every morning and I was often invited for dinner. The room is also great, its huge and has an incredible view.

I had a great stay with this family! They made sure I was comfortable and I enjoyed practicing my Spanish. The view from the room was amazing. I was provided breakfast both mornings and even dinner one evening. They took me to the metro station both days since the house is high up on a hill (the neighborhood reminded me of a greener version of the Hollywood Hills in LA). Elizabeth even helped me get a SIM card for my cell phone at the local mall! I would stay here again, very nice and welcoming family.

A lovely family! Their home is part-way up a mountain in the north end overlooking the valley. Beautiful vista from my room. I was offered a ride to the subway whenever I needed one as the nearest metro station is about 10 minutes away by car. If you plan to drive here in your own car, it will be easy access for you. On the metro you can conveniently reach any neighbourhood.

How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
