Victorias Rural House is located in an agroecological farming community called Juanilama in Santa Rosa de Pocosol.
Our community is located 4 miles north of Santa Rosa de Pocosol and around 3 hours driving from San José ( 40 minutes driving from Arenal Volcano area). Juanilama town is about 200 people mostly dedicated to cattle raising, milk production and its derivatives. Besides agriculture with pineapple, bananas, plantain and tubers, given the hot and humid weather that normally the area has.
Surrounded by farms , vegetation, rivers and lakes. It is the perfect opportunity to experience rural living in Costa Rica near Juanilama ecological reserve donated by the government and which is owned by the community.
We offer our guests a shared use of our house. 3 bedrooms with air conditioning private bathrooms with hot water, fully equipped kitchen,dining room, patios,parking lot , hot water , wi fi , cable TV and the most beautiful views of the countryside of Costa Rica.
We live close with the nature and our neighbors, spend time together helping each other and celebrating. You can get a share of this by staying with us for a few days and enjoying PURA VIDA.
You will enjoy 3 healthy and fresh meals per day and can learn about our cuisine from Gabriela.( Typical cuisine classes).
We are located just : 40 min from the Arenal Volcano 60 minutes minutes from Rio Celeste 60 minutes Caño negro wild life refuge, 40 minutes from Venado Caverns.
Your stay will include food and daily tours.
We can help you organize your schedule during your stay with us and organize short trips in our community. ( DAILY FREE TOURS INCLUDED) You can see farmers produce cheese, breed cattle or grow fruits and vegetables, school visit, volunteering and more.
You can take part in the events of our community; festivities, Sunday’s holy mass, family events. We can show you the local sights; Junilama nature reserve, rivers, waterfalls and organize other activities like horse back riding, hiking, cycling, ….

How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
