We had a very nice and comfortable stay at Rafael's home in November. He was very friendly, polite, and helpful and we learned a lot from him about life in Cuba. He also made us the best breakfast we had during our holidays!
We felt very welcome and wish Rafael and his family all the best for the future!
Nice room, nice host.
We were disappointed to find that our intended host in May had a ‘technical problem with the water supply’ and so had to pass us on to another casa. Thankfully this did not take us by surprise as one of the more recent reviews indicated they had ended up in another casa as well.
You won't find a better place to stay in Cienfuegos!
The accommodation was first class & had all the essentials needed for a relaxing stay.
We received a very warm welcome from Rafael & his wife.
Rafael's English was excellent & he helped us to make the most out of our stay. He organised all our travel arrangements to ensure we got to see all the main attractions in and around Cienfuegos.
As for breakfast each morning, that's was perfect too!
Our stay here was one of the highlights of our holiday, so thank you so much for your hospitality Rafael, you are a true gentleman!
Matthew & Vicki Kirkpatrick.
Rafael does an excellent job of taking care of you. During my stay at their casa, I was welcomed with a lot of warmth and kindness by their whole family.
The casa is located in a very quiet and safe neighborhood. With a five minute walk to the ocean, and other attractions within close proximity, this casa is situated optimally. It comes with a personal kitchen, bathroom, and bedroom. The air conditioning in the bedroom was also a very big bonus! I was fed fresh and delicious homemade food served with love.
They made travelling to Trinidad a breeze for me by booking a personal taxi. Thank you Rafael and family for making this such a good experience!
We had a very good time in Cienfuegos which is a really nice city! Great appartment, with a kitchen... the breakfast was delicious and fresh! And Rafael helped us to find a taxi for the bus station and an international pharmacy! Thanks a lot!
Really nice host with nice room. We had best best breakfast there which was included in the rate.
Friendly with always smile in the face and was helping us out organizing a trip to our next place.
Pros - highly recommended. Rafael was an organized and thoughtful host. His English was good and we had a pleasant conversation.
The room had a separate entrance which afforded some privacy and there was a pleasant indoor and outdoor hangout area. Great space overall! The location was about 10-15 min walk from the center of town.
Cons - When we arrived we were shipped away to another house that was not as nice, private or large. Presumably Rafael had double booked us for that night which is strange because I reserved one day in advance. We moved our things back the following morning and from there it was a great stay.
Highly recommend Rafael's place just make sure you are staying with him.
Familia muy amable y simpática.
Nos alojaron en un pequeño apartamento para nosotras solas, totalmente equipado. Con patio, cocina, baño ...
Un desayuno excelente.
Casa muy recomendable!!! :-)
Auf unserer Reise eine der besten Unterkünfte.
Tolle Lage in Punta Garda. Zimmer auch sehr ruhig, groß und sauber.
Rafael kümmert sich rührend um seine Gäste.
Wer mit Mietwagen ist, bitte 2 CUC für Bewachung des Autos mit einplanen.
