Osniel home stay is in a good location, clean. He can give you the information as need which help us a lot to know more about Cuba
The location of Osniel's house is perfect! Very close to old Havana. It's a really warm family and he helped us out very well with some good advice and finding a taxi. Our stay in Havana couldn't have been better!
Bon accueil, situation intéressante (au centre de La Havane), et service correct. Rien à dire.
Gratias a muy buenas prácticas informationes para futuros viajes y orientación en Cuba,
asistencia en la organización del transporte. Alena y Petr de la Republica Checa
Osniel is a very helpfull person, he knows a lot, and take time to explain all your questions.
My friend and I were very pleased with Osniel's home while we stayed in Cuba. It is perfectly located in a centrally located spot in the historic part of the Havana. This is the family residence so you will see their family as they go through their daily routine, including extended family visiting. The daily breakfast is a nice way to start the day. Rooms have what you need, including a large wooden window that opens up and gives you great views of the city. Our rooms had a stand alone fan that I used rather than the AC unit and it was perfect. My room had its own bathroom with hand soap, closet with hangers, a small safe and plenty of electrical outlets.
Because the casa is in the heart of downtown, you will hear a lot of "life"....construction, music, people, etc. but I was easily able to take naps and fall asleep at night. Bring ear plugs if you are a light sleeper. I never heard noise from other bedrooms next to me. I loved hearing it all!! The casa is located on the 3rd floor & has a great balcony off the kitchen/dining area where you can people watch. Osniel was able to help us with our luggage.
Osniel is so helpful and the best host. He gave us many helpful tips, a useful walking map of town, helped arranged an evening for us at the Buena Vista Social Club, explained the wifi situation in Cuba, was generous of his time, arranged taxis for us, etc. but some of the best recommendations were where to eat. Osniel has a book in each room with lots of helpful info including where to dine. Pay attention to the two restaurants as they turned out to be our absolute favorites. One is international fine dining. It was amazing and a nice change from all the Cuban food we had been eating. You can order traditional Cuban but if you just need a little break....they've got it. The second place is a more casual Italian 'diner' place. They make excellent thin crust pizza, salads (the biggest and best that we got while in Cuba), burgers, etc., have a full bar and if you're craving a milkshake....here's the place to go. Each time we went there was a line but it moved pretty quickly.
Osniel went above and beyond when we needed his help as my friend left his wallet in our taxi after we were dropped off at the airport. Osniel located our driver and my friend was reunited with his wallet. We thought for sure it was gone.
I will be recommending Osniel to all my friends who are looking to stay in Cuba. You will get a real feel for living in Havana but will be very safe in your accommodations. We did a free walking tour (ask Osniel about) and the guide said the only way to stay is in a casa particular and I agree.

We unfortunately did not get to meet the host upon arrival because he was out of town, but his extended family welcomed us warmly. This place really felt like you were actually staying in someone's home with the family. The room was separate from the family's living space, but you had to walk through the living room to get to it. That was a wonderful experience getting to say hello to everyone while the kids are playing and watching TV and seeing a real Cuban family home but it doesn't allow you to completely come and go without feeling like you might be disrupting things.
The room and private bath were very clean and opening up the pulldown window revealed an absolutely lovely night view of the town below along with a wonderful night breeze. We had to get up very early the next morning to catch a taxi to the airport but we were so thankful that the father was able to arrange a taxi for us at that early hour and make sure we were up at 4:00 in the morning to catch it.
The only reason we would rank this as 4 instead of 5 stars is that while the location is in very convenient and lively part of Old Town and the street was ultimately very safe even at night, the immediate area did feel a little dicey during the day until you got inside which was lovely. Once you got oriented, you realized there was absolutely nothing to be concerned about, though, and if you want to be close to everything and staying in a real Cuban family home as opposed to a separate space for guests, this is a good place for that.
This guest awarded the host 5 hearts but didn’t leave any comments.
BUONISSIMA !!! OTTIME PERSONE . DISPONIBILI E PAZIENTI !!
