House Rules

Cuba is a very safe country and you will see that in most of the streets where tourists travel, there are numerous policemen, I would like to comment on some precautions that must be taken; It is not necessary to carry the documentation on passports, passport etc. So you should take several photocopies of the main page of the passport (to carry in the wallet) and the credit cards on both sides before traveling. (In case of loss it is easier to report)
Usually a foreigner does not bother to ask for documentation, always carry a photocopy of the passport is enough for the police.
The documentation or passport is kept in the private room or hotel and never removed, except in the following cases that the photocopy is not valid:
If you go to a police station, consulate, or any public ministry to identify you.

If you go to a bank to change money or take out with a credit card.

In the cadeca is not necessary to change money, but if to take out with credit card.
If you are going to rent a car or drive it you also need the normal driving license.
You always have to stay in official private houses or hotels if you rent in a house that is not official are exposed to thefts In the private houses of Havana if you can enter a single Cuban person at a time, and whenever you enter a Different person, first you have to ask for the card at the entrance and enter in the guestbook your full name, license number and address in case you do not do it, it is very common to suffer all sorts of thefts without our realizing you can get lost as Say the Cubans, our wallet, the camera or cell phone (cell phone for Cubans) and then we will never recover it no matter how much we trust people and their friendship, many know that if you do not sign the card, you have the right to steal the Things of value and that will also go unpunished completely from the theft.

Anyway I recommend having things of value inside the suitcases and always locked with locks especially if you have visitors.

The owners of the rental house are almost impossible to steal, as they would lose the rental license that is their livelihood, and may even confiscate the house and despite the many taxes that pay rent money them Allows to live quite well and much better than the rest of the Cubans, sometimes they do the cleaning of the room or hire some girl to make it their full confidence.
You have to be very careful with pickpockets in pubs and nightclubs and crowds of people, if you drink a lot of alcohol goodbye to your wallet and what you carry of value because usually is lost habitually.avoid smoking in the rooms, excesses of alcohol, You can go in and out when they do not want you to know about it if they find a girl or a boy let me know so I can notify them so we will avoid dislikes, theft, among other problems, the delivery of keys to the room and the entrance
