I enjoyed my stay at Casa Mely during my first trip to Cuba in May 2025. The staff and owners are extremely kind, helpful, and welcoming. The accommodations are clean, and the air conditioning, bathroom, hairdryer, and WIFI all operate properly. Provided there are no power outages. Highly recommended for visiting Havana.

Clean, comfortable and spacious room and modern bathroom. Staff were very helpful. It felt more like a European style hostel than a casa particular, but great choice for a night in Havana.
Habitación limpia, cómoda y espaciosa y cuarto de baño moderno. El personal era muy servicial. Se sentía más como un hostal de estilo europeo que una casa particular, pero gran opción para una noche en La Habana.

Die Unterkunft war sehr sauber, die Betreiber waren hilfsbereit und sehr freundlich. Die Unterkunft befindet sich sehr zentral, sie ist nur wenige Minuten vom Capitol oder sonstigen Sehenswürdigkeiten entfernt.

Landy is a great host and will help answer any questions you have. Breakfast is basic, does the trick. Location is central without being too noisy.

Landy is very helpful, always answering our questions. The room was comfortable, the breakfast was great (omlette, toast, butter, jam, coffee and fresh fruits), which was great value compared to other Cuban food, especially the fruits and juices. The girls we met were kind and helpful, and most of all it was good, that there was a window and a terrace, which offered a great opportunity to lie down and wake up every day in a real Cuban atmosphere (music, bread man shouting in every morning around 7:00 am, rooster's crowing, stuff like that).
Landy offeres a laundry service which is really comfortable and useful if you'd like to travel with not to much stuff.
His casa particular is in the heart of Havana, most of the places are easy to reach by foot with a light walk (Capitolium, Plaza Vieja, Museum of Rum, etc.)

How do I book?
Contact the host about your stay - tell them a little about yourself, why you are staying and ask any questions you have about their homestay. You will be able to book immediately after sending your message.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
