I am the Cuba emigrant and since 2003 I have been renting out two double rooms with a direct view of the Atlantic with my wife, Marisabel Macias Despaigne, in our exclusively furnished apartment "CASA Isabel", right on the Malecón!
The small rental company has optimally restructured its residential complex to meet the needs of its numerous guests, so that visitors have the best conditions to enjoy their stay undisturbed and in peace. An elegant division separates the spacious guest area from the landlord area.
It was a big challenge for me, but it shows that dreams can finally come true!
Since July 12, 2013 I have my second residence in Cuba!

About the Area
Our condominium is located in Havana, in a modern high-rise building, equipped with 2 new ventilated elevators, in the district of Vedado, about 5 km from the center.
From here you can easily start your daily activities and get to know the multifaceted capital of Cuba.
There are several ways to get to the center: walking comfortably along the Malecón, taking a taxi, ordering a horse-drawn carriage, taking the tourist bus (Hop on / Hop off - 10 CUC day ticket) or even the ride to enjoy to the fullest with a vintage American car. A highlight of the special kind is the trip with a local taxi to undertake, pure adventure ... from our nearest main road let you go to the Capitol, from there you start your activities in the metropolis of Havana's, the cost only 10 pesos, less than ½ CUC.
In the immediate vicinity of your location are the two internationally renowned hotel complexes "Meliá Cohíba" and "Riviera" and the shopping center "Galerias de Paseo" with its world-famous Jazz Café. For a small fee, the large pool area in the hotel "Meliá Cohíba" can be used. Nearby are also various banks, shopping stores, restaurants, nightclubs, the local fruit and vegetable markets and much more.
The white sand beaches of the "Playas del Este" are just 20 minutes away by car. Daily buses depart from the center in shuttle service, cost per person currently only 5 CUC (round trip), in combination with the local taxi a very cheap driving opportunity to get to these beautiful beaches.

We can also help you find private accommodations in the provinces. Due to the numerous feedbacks of our guests, we have a number of very good accommodations available, which we would recommend.
If you would like to experience a special event, you can let our chauffeur "Ronald" with his 56iger Chevrolette (orange / white) or "Lazaro" drive with his 48iger Dodge (orange / white) in the various provinces. The vintage cars are well maintained and well equipped, including air conditioning. Driver and vehicle accompany you during this time and are available to you as needed.
The daily price is currently 165 CUC and includes all costs.
The reservation should be made early before the start of the holiday ...!!!

Important information about our rental...!!!
Dear Traveler, due to the Corona Pandemic, we have taken our "Standard" double room out of the rental for an indefinite period of time in order to guarantee you optimal conditions for a pleasant and safe stay in our spacious residential complex. The prescribed hygienic measures are observed and implemented!
Paid WiFi Internet access (ETECSA-Nauta or 3G / 24h) in the rooms and in the entire guest area!
Please note that the provision and data transfer rate in Cuba is far from the quality you are used to.
New service: *** Between 8:30am - 9am Internet access- ETECSA-Nauta is made available to our guests daily "Free"!!! ***
*** Due to the bad economic situation, our product procurement is made considerably more difficult and unfortunately we can no longer offer our delicious morning snack...!!! ***

Smoking zone in the terrace area!
The daily room cleaning is carried out until 12:00! If the room is not made available by the guest during this period, it will be cleaned the next day! ***Sunday is excluded from this service...!!!***

Airport service:
If you wish, our chauffeur can pick you up punctually at the "José Martí" airport with his well-kept private "Classic Car" (max. 2 people with luggage) and bring you directly to us without unnecessary detours. The service costs are currently 1000 PC up to 21h landing airlines, after that 1250 PC...!!!
There is also the option of being driven punctually to "Jose Marti" Airport in an American vintage car on the day of your return journey as a final highlight. The costs are currently 30 CUC.

Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt bei Hans und Isabel sehr genossen. Neben den sehr schönen, sauberen und gut ausgerüsteten Zimmern, bieten sie auch einen super Service. Hans gibt gerne Tips und Auskunft übers Reisen und Trips in Havanna und ganz Kuba. Zudem waren Hans und Isabel in unserem Fall auch sehr hilfsbereit um unseres von der Airline nicht mitgenommene Gepäck zu kümmern, so dass wir unsere Ferien trotzdem (fast) ohne Ablenkung geniessen konnten.

First time in Havana and we couldn’t have been more happy with everything. Our home stay with Hans and his wonderful wife were more than expected. Clean, modern, spacious and we were so so happy with the location. We toured around by both walking and taxi. We appreciated the tips and suggestions for places to eat to how to get around to site to see. My husband was able to speak small amounts of Spanish and he enjoyed this, he bought a Spanish book right when we got home to study more. We thank them for sharing there beautiful place with us.

Hans-Wilhelm ist ein sehr freundlicher Gastgeber, der uns viele hilfreiche Tipps für unseren Aufenthalt gegeben hat. Er konnte uns als deutscher Auswanderer viel über das Leben in Kuba erzählen.

Unser Aufenthalt bei Hans Wilhelm und seiner Frau Marisabel war wunderbar. Beide sind herzliche Gastgeber, die uns durch die deutsche Sprache den Einstieg in unsere erste Kubareise deutlich erleichtert haben. Schon die Abholung vom Flughhafen mit einem schicken Oldtimer war ein Erlebnis. Hans Wilhelm hat uns viele Tipps gegeben und stand uns immer mit Rat und Tat beiseite. Die Zimmer sind super sauber und haben beide eine sensationelle Aussicht. Die Ausstattung ist perfekt von der leisen Klimaanlage, dem Safe, gefüllter Kühlschrank bis hin zum Bad mit Seife, Handtücher und Fön. Wir hatten immer guten Wasserdruck und heißes Wasser. Übrigens die beiden Fahrstühlen haben immer einwandfrei funktioniert.
Das kleine Frühstück wird im Wohnbereich (nur für dir Gäste) bereitgestellt. Für uns war es völlig ausreichend. Zudem gibt es morgens 30 min freies WLAN. Wir haben den ersten Kaffee bei Sonnenaufgang auf dem Balkon mit Blick bis hin zum Capitol, wie unseren gesamten Aufenthalt, sehr genossen. Wir können die Casa uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen.July 2019
Ausgezeichneter Gastgeber Wohnung im 9. Stock eines allein stehenden Appartement Hochhauses direkt am berühmten Malećon mit sensationeller Aussicht über Havanna. Schöne saubere und komfortabel eingerichtete Zimmer und Bad. Leise, gut funktionierende Klimaanlage. Kühlschrank mit Getränke gegen Bezahlung zu kleinen Preisen. Jeden Morgen feines Frühstück (Kaffee, Sandwich, Fruchtsalat) und 30 Minuten WIFI / Internet im Preis inbegriffen. Auf Wunsch und gegen angemessene Bezahlung werden Zusatz Dienstleistungen schon im Vorfeld organisiert. (Oldtimer mit Chauffeur, Reservation Plätze Tropicana Revue Theater etc..) Hans-Wilhelm und seine Frau Marisabel sind seriöse, zuverlässige und herzliche Gastgeber welche sich wirklich um Ihre Gäste bemühen. Uneingeschränkte Empfehlung!

Für mich als Kuba Neuling war der Aufenthalt bei Isabel und Hans Wilhelm die beste Wahl. Wie vereinbart wurde ich pünktlich am Flughafen mit einem altem Chevrolet abgeholt. In der Casa wurde ich herzlich empfangen und sehr gut mit Informationen versorgt. Das Zimmer war blitzsauber und gepflegt mit Zimmersafe, guten Matratzen, leiser Klimaanlage, gefüllter Minibar, Flachbildfernseher mit nationalen Sendern, großem und sehr sauberem Bad mit ausreichend warmes Wasser, Handtücher Seife und Föhn sind ebenfalls vorhanden. In der Casa steht täglich eine halbe Stunde Wifi kostenfrei zur Verfügung. Die Lage der Casa ist Hervorragend direkt am Malecón mit Wifi-Hotspot und wunderschöner Aussicht auf das Meer. In der Nähe gibt es gute Restaurants, Geschäfte, Taxis, Geldwechselmöglichkeiten und die Bushaltestelle der Hop on Hop off Busse. Um gut in den Tag zu starten gibt es ein kleines und leckeres Frühstück mit Kaffee, Sandwich und Obst welches im Preis enthalten ist. Isabel und Hans Wilhelm waren immer sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit und haben mir sehr viele Tipps gegeben. Nochmals vielen, vielen Dank!!

How do I book?
Contact the host about your stay - tell them a little about yourself, why you are staying and ask any questions you have about their homestay. You will be able to book immediately after sending your message.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
