My stay at Yohanka's place was great. Yohanka was very welcoming and helpful with finding our way through Havana and Cuba in general. Every question we had she tried to answer. She also served a delicious breakfast (fresh fruit, bread, butter and fried egg, coffee and hot milk) in the morning for 5 cuc/person. The room was cleaned everyday and had a safe (although the safe probably wasn't the safest, because it was a little bit lose on the wall). The apartment of Yohanka was near the Malecon and by foot you could walk almost anywhere.
I would definitely recommend her place if you stay in Havana for the first time.May 2017
Yohanka and family are incredibly friendly, helpful and welcoming. We felt very relaxed in their home and with the community in central Havana. A great place to stay and very safe especially for two female travellers. The room was comfortable with its own shower room, fan, air-con, safe and fridge. Yohanka made us a lovely breakfast each morning with eggs, fresh rolls, cut fruits, coffee and delicious fruit juices at a reasonable additional cost. It's 5min walk to the Malecon where there are restaurants, including Neruda if you turn left out of Yohanka's and left again when you reach the Malecon. They have good value, simple and tasty meals. Ave de Italia (Galiano) has restaurants, supermarkets and banks to change money if needed.
Thank you Yohanka and familyMarch 2017

I was at Yohanka place for 10 days, she is really helpfull and carrying person. I had a great time talking to her. The place is clean, with nice bath and a safe box in room. 15 min walk to the main square, 3 min to Malecon.

Yohanka - the owner has some English (a rare commodity in Cuba!) & is so helpful & obliging. You will be well looked after here & it is very central. Less than a 10 min walk to tourist areas. 5 mins walk to local areas so u get to see the real Cuban life. Best of both worlds!
Casa is very clean & rooms have air con, fan & fridge. Lovely courtyard area outside your room which you are free to access. The food is good here too.
Yohanka can organise taxis & your next Casa at your next destination if wish.
Highly, highly recommend this Casa.

Unfortunately we were delayed getting to Cuba and therefore the room had gone but Yohanka and her family were so helpful and lovely and found us another room and we had a delicious breakfast with here when were in Havana. She also helped us with a room in Vinales and taxis and was generally a lovely host and had her home is very nice. I loved Cuba so next time I visit I would definitely try to stay with them. I only give 4 stars as we couldn't actually stay in the house but 5 stars for her hospitality and kindness. Thankyou Yohanka!
