Recently renovated and painted one bedroom apartment with private bath.
It is very open with new living room furniture. The apartment is located in Centro Habana. It is about a 20 minute walking distance thru Centro Habana to reach La Habana Vieja and towards El Vedado in the opposite direction. It is the same distance to the famous Malecon walking North. The area is 100% typical Cuban and is SAFE day or night. There are places to dine close by, cafeteria Cuban style, with awesome Cuban food, beer, coffee, cigarettes, etc, and at a great price. The apartment is perfect for one couple, or 2 friends. The price is 25.00 cash per day. ONLY USD or EUROS are accepted and full amount of the stay is due upon arrival at the home,,,(PLEASE CHECK ON THE CALENDAR BEFORE BOOKING. PRICES MAY VARY DEPENDING ON THE SEASON AND DEMAND).
There is a Cuban grocery store close by to buy groceries, water and many items of food and personal hygiene. My father lives next door and when I have guests I stay with him, so you will have complete privacy and a complete apartment at a wonderful price all to yourselves..
THINGS TO KEEP IN MIND>>>As you can see in the pictures, the space is large enough, clean and in my view beautiful....however, please remember that Cuba is not a luxury destination! Occasionally there are power outages. Water pressure is not what is in America or many other places in the world, but it is sufficient and that is the way it is all over Cuba. All these things are good to keep in mind when making your decision to go to such an adventurous and magical destination as Havana and staying at a Casa Particular where you will experience the real Cuban lifestyle and how Cubans live....
The bedroom is large enough and clean. It has a brand new air conditioner with remote control!!
The apartment is comfortable, SAFE, and clean for our guests.
The airport is 9 miles or 15Kms SW of the city. It takes 15 to 20 minutes via car to come home. Taxi costs are 25.00 usd or Euro to the apartment and viceversa..
ATTENTION; WE ARE NOW ABLE TO PROVIDE TRANSPORTATION TO OTHER CITIES FROM OUR HOME AS FOLLOWS:
VINALES IS 25.00usd, VARADERO 25.00usd, CIENFUEGOS 30.00usd, TRINIDAD 35.00usd and SANTIAGO 75.00usd. PRICES ARE PER PERSON. IF INTERESTED, PLEASE MAKE SURE AND ASK AS SOON AS YOU ARRIVE AT THE HOUSE!!!!! IT IS KNOWN AS TRANSPORTATION COMUM. The vehicle seats 7 persons (mostly tourists). They will pick up in front of the house at AROUND 8.30am. This area is typical Cuban and very SAFE!!!! Perfect for those that enjoy walking thru the real Habana. You will see how real Cuban families live. Their homes, their schools, their methods of transportation. You will experience this vibrant culture full of music and happy people considering what they have gone thru for the past 60 plus years. The Havana International airport is 15KM or 9 Miles SW of the city. It takes about 15 to 20 minutes by car depending on traffic. The usual fee is 25.00 usd cash.

Realmente tuve una estancia maravillosa. Mercedita y su familia son personas increíbles. Su casa es muy limpia, muy cómoda y muy bonita. La casa más hermosa para hospedarse en La Habana. Puedes caminar fácilmente a todas partes. Gran experiencia, grandes personas.

Where to start....Perfect very central Apartment with possibility to cook, living room bed room.Everyone around made this stay very pleasant from the beginning till the end.Great value for the price.I would come back any time.Stayed 2 times with Merce in 2 weeks.

Sehr netter Empfang trotz deutlicher Verspätung bei meiner Ankunft mitten in der Nacht. Sichere Nachbarschaft auch wenn man das Kuba abseits der Pauschaltouristenpfade kennenlernt. Man ist auch schnell im Zentrum bzw. bei den Sehenswürdigkeiten. Sehr hilfsbereit und herzliche Gastgeberin und Familie.

Mercedita in her family are very nice hosts, always ready to help out. Everything is clean, and even though the bathroom is shared, you get a lot of privacy, especially in the back room (the white one), where you even have a private little passage/patio with a clothesline. It is about a 20 minute walk from areas to visit such as the Cayo Hueso neighbourhood (and the Callejon de Hamel) as well as the Habana Vieja. The neighbourhood itself is very casual and lively, far from the tourist crowds, yet very safe : we walked home late at night on several locations. Overall, I recommend staying with Mercedita for her warm welcome, the very reasonable price for Habana and if you wish to have an experience off the beaten path!

Nuestra estancia fue increíble en casa de Mercy. Fui con una amiga y nos trataron como si fuéramos de la familia. Un sitio muy recomendable si quieres vivir la experiencia de casa particular. Si volvemos a Cuba ya sabemos dónde dormiremos.

Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
