Hostal Habana Hierbabuena is a Cuban colonial house from the 40s of the twentieth century, located in the neighborhood of Centro Habana, respecting all its splendor of the time offers the customer comfort, quality and proximity, a few minutes walk to the most tourist areas from the capital: the neighborhoods of El Vedado, Old Havana and the Malecón Habanero.
Our hostel is an authentic Cuban private house, which has respected the beauty of the time, keeping high ceilings, columns and decorative plaster, colonial mosaic floors, lattices and wood. All this, adapted to the needs and comforts of any traveler, so that your stay and your stay in Havana is unforgettable.
The house has two floors. On the first floor, next to the rooms, our customers can enjoy the common areas: a beautiful colonial dining room, where you can start the day with our delicious natural breakfasts, read or have a drink in the afternoon. On the second floor, we have a cozy roof terrace, where you can relax at night accompanied by quiet music and a good Cuban mojito.
A few meters from the hostel, you have a stop area for private taxis and bike-taxis, with which you can move around Havana. You can also agree prices with them to spend a day at the beaches of the East (Santa Maria, Guanabo, etc) that are only 20 minutes away.
The house is located next to Carlos III Avenue, the most important neighborhood of Centro Habana, an area with a lot of commercial atmosphere, during the day, where you can find the beauty of Havana's colonial architecture and many curiosities in all its corners. But also, great tranquility and security at night.
We are official landlords for tourists. Important: In the same block of the street, you have a bank where you can exchange currency (inside the Carlos III Shopping Center) and Carlos III-Salvador Allende Avenue ATMs.

DATA PROTECTION.
The data offered by our customers in the Registration Form are required to be completed. For our part, we offer the maximum guarantee for the protection of your data, these can only be transferred, if requested, to the Security Forces of the State of the Republic of Cuba. It is also necessary to sign the registration form with our "rules and services" in duplicate so that we can give you a copy.
PRICING POLICY.
The daily price per room varies according to the seasons of the year and we will offer a discount for those stays with stays longer than 15 days. The total payment for your stay will always be made in CUC and in advance.
INPUT AND OUTPUT.
The check-in must be done from 13 hours.
The guest at your entrance must provide us with your passport and your visa to inform the Cuban authorities of your stay. It is mandatory to sign the Registration Book so that there is legal evidence.
The check out must be done before 12 o'clock
If the client does not respect the check-out time, they will be billed the full night after 12.30 and can not use the room.
For both check-in and check-out we provide a free baggage deposit service.
HEALTH NEEDS.
It is important that you communicate any type of illness, disability or allergy to try to account for your particular needs and that your accommodation is in better conditions. If this information is not provided, we will not be responsible for any damages or losses that may be suffered by this reason.
GASTRONOMY.
The breakfast service may be requested until the night of the previous day. This will be served in the time range between 8 am and 11 am. The price per person for breakfast is 5 CUC.
CLEANING.
The cleaning of the rooms is done daily, as long as it is available before 12 noon. The change of sheets and towels is made every 3 days.
Private laundry / ironing service is offered. Ask for prices, according to quantity and urgency of the service.
ROOMS / COMMON SPACES.
The guest will have the key to their room and the entrance to the main door of each room, which must be delivered at check-out.
The guest must correctly use all the furniture in the house and can not mistreat or give undue use to towels, sheets or similar.
Please do not leave any equipment on, as long as you do not stay in your room. And we alert to keep the equipment connected to your correct power option. In case of omitting any of these warnings, you must be responsible for the expenses incurred on any of the aforementioned elements.
The guest can make use of the common spaces of the house; living room, roof terrace, always respecting the stay and good atmosphere of the hostel and the rest of customers.
The visits must be registered at any time of the day. If the client wishes to invite a friendship or relationship of any kind to our establishment this will have to be noted in the registration book (as established by the laws of the country) during the day. At night, it is not allowed to enter any companion unless it is previously registered in the registration book.
The number of guests is not allowed to exceed the maximum capacity for which the rooms are designed
BATHROOMS.
It is mandatory to use the waste basket to throw toilet paper, hair, papers or other non-physiological waste. The pipes can suffer serious damage if this warning is omitted, so the customer would have to take responsibility for the damages caused.
NO SMOKING.
We inform you that smoking is NOT allowed, neither in the rooms, nor in the common areas.

We spent 3 wonderful nights. The hosts were very welcoming. The breakfast was a good start in the day. They gave a free choice of the breakfast time. They were very friendly. The hosts always had time for a conversation and helped, for example, by ordering us a taxi. Everything was clean. We would stay there again.

How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
