Bonjour a tous...

Polecam nocleg u Maritza M. Bardzo mili, otwarci ludzie, przepyszne śniadania, cudowna atmosfera.
Host at Maritza's place is a great value. The rooms are nicely furnished and quiet. Would recommend to others, and would stay there again. Excellent breakfast, very helpful people, would definitely recommend.May 2017
We stayed one week at Maritza's place. Her house is really nice, comfortable and central. If you want to experience whole Havana and not just Havana Vieja it's the right place to stay, because it's located right between Vieja and Vedado. The rooms are very clean, breakfast always fresh and healthy and if you need some tips or help getting from one place to another, Maritza will give you any information you need. You need to speak some spanish though.

Maritza was the best welcome to La Habana we could ask for. She coordinated flight details with me and my friend in advance so we were met by a taxi at the airport immediately upon arrival. She was very warm, friendly, and excited to share Cuba with us. Knowing we'd want to explore once settled, she suggested some starting points in the city and sent us on our way.
We felt very welcome and at home in her clean, beautiful house, and comfortable (room has a fan, two cushy beds, private bathroom). It was nice to have multiple layers of security in the house, always appreciated when visiting a place for the first time.
The casa is in walking distance of both Habana Vieja and Vedado, which are chock full of sights and activities. The breakfast was ample - fruit, bread, coffee, eggs if available. It was also great to have cold bottled water, beers, and sodas available for purchase from the refrigerator.
Though we booked with Maritza for 4 nights, she made a great recommendation to visit and stay in Vinales for the final two nights. Not only that, she went above and beyond to help us find a reliable homestay there, as well as a ride. We are EXTREMELY grateful for this suggestion and her assistance in coordinating it.
Teri & I enjoyed getting to know Maritza & her family and will surely send more visitors to stay!

Hello everyone!!!
It was 2nd time that myself with my wife and her sister visited Havana. This time we choose to stay with Cuban family to face a different experience and to get closer to extraordinary everyday life. Well, let me tell you, that was the best experience we faced. Mrs. Maritza and her family treated us from the very first minute of the very first day as the members of their own family. She was taking care of everything what we were asking for. From calling the taxi, to provide us we certain information about shopping, to giving us map of Havana, to giving us access to internet and of course bringing every morning fresh bread. Awesome!!! The cleaning lady, Mrs. Yolanda was very friendly and our rooms were cleaned every day. I have to say that non of us is speaking Spanish, but our communication was very good and kind of extraordinary.
We communicated with smile and our hearts...and sometimes with hands as well. I wish world political leaders learn how to do this the way we did. By staying for almost 3 weeks allowed us to observe and evaluate how they approach travelers and how professionally Mrs. Maritza and her family is taking care of business. We arrived as a strangers, but we left as someone who discovered new friends for a lifetime....and that is what we are calling the greatest travelling experience. We can discover beautiful places, eat good meals and enjoy the life but I believe that this days it is not so easy to find friends.
The only negative comment that we have is that to rate Mrs.Maritza properly, Home-stay doesn't provide us with enough hearts. Honestly and from the bottom of our hearts, Mrs.Maritza... WE ARE GIVING YOU 10 HEARTS!!!.... and we would like to tell you that they are much bigger that the one atop of this review. Without hesitation we would like to recommend to anyone who is planning to visit Havana or Cuba to choose Mrs. Maritza and her family house as a place to stay.
One more time, thank you very much for having us at your place.Regards,
Christopher, Anna and Eva
