Hostal d´Soto: founded in 2012 by Alejandro and Yilian, experienced professionals in the service sector, who work to make your stay in Cuba a unique experience.
About our location:
Hostal d´Soto has excellent architecture from the 50s, located in one of the best and safest neighborhoods in Havana, Nuevo Vedado; where you can enjoy a nice balance between a busy day and a quiet night, right in the geographical center of the city, from where you can reach anywhere in a few minutes
In the surroundings you will find: restaurants, cafeterias, bars, bank offices, exchange houses, money dispensers (ATM), post office, shops, markets, and places of tourist and historical interest: Cuban Art Factory, Sports City, Park Metropolitano, the Zoological Park, Colón Necropolis, Revolution Square, Che Guevara Memorial, Acapulco Cinema Theater, National Theater, among others
The "Bus Station to the Isla de la Juventud" is very close, just 200 m away; as well as the road to the airport. An ideal point for those who need to spend the night and continue their trip the next day.
About the facilities:
The upper floor of the house has: a private entrance, a living-dining room, 4 bedrooms and a huge terrace; an ideal place to sunbathe and spend your free time. On the main floor we have: living room, dining room, covered terrace and 2 bedrooms.
The rooms have excellent comfort conditions: air conditioning, television, minibar, closet, double bedroom set, extra personal bed; and private bathroom (hot and cold water and hair dryer).
The hostel is surrounded by gardens, abundant vegetation and an area for car parking.

You can enjoy the pleasant balance between a tiring day and a peaceful night, just at the geographical center of the city, from where you can reach any place in Town in a few minutes.
In the surroundings you will find plenty of options: restaurants, cafeterias, Night Clubs, bank offices and ATM points, exchange houses, post office, shops, markets and shopping center. We are also close to some interesting touristic and historical places such as: Fábrica de Arte Cubano (Cuban Art Factory), Sports City, Metropolitan Park, Havana Zoo Park, Colón Necropolis, The Revolution Square, The Che Guevara Memorial, Acapulco Cinema, the National Theater and so on.

All of the rooms have excellent features, such as: air conditioning, TV set, minibar, wide closets and matrimony bedroom sets with private bathrooms with hot-cold water shower and hair dryers. Extra personal beds can be fitted in them.
The Hostel is surrounded by gardens and vegetation. Parking is also available.

Como lugar de alojamiento es excelente.. Es confortable y con un ambiente muy entrañable y muy familiar. Perfecto para una estancia en una ciudad como La Habana. Habitaciones muy limpias y acondicionadas desayuno almuerzo y cena excelentes Un 10 para la dueños del alojamiento muy profesionales y atentos en todo lo que uno pueda necesitar Lo recomiendo a todos

We stayed just one night at Alejandro's house, it's very close to Viazul bus Terminal, so it was a great choice! The house is clean and beautiful. Alejandro and his wife are very kind and helpful, they did a great breakfast to us and we had the best black coffee in Cuba at their house!

Alejandro a été très sympathique et accueillant, un vrai plaisir de faire sa connaissance même si nous ne sommes restés qu'une nuit. La maison est vraiment superbe, dans un quartier au calme et à proximité de la station Viazul. Pour rejoindre le centre, vous trouverez facilement des taxis pour 5 CUC environ. Nous recommandons sans hésitation !

How do I book?
Contact the host about your stay - tell them a little about yourself, why you are staying and ask any questions you have about their homestay. You will be able to book immediately after sending your message.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
