We spend 2 nights in Playa Larga at Smartbeds hostel. The rooms were very modern, the even had a tv. The room also had a private bathroom, fridge and a very big and comfy bed. The owner of the hostel, Alexis, is a very friendly and spontaneous man, who is very willing to help. He can arrange trips for you, rent you his bicycles (he has 2 very good MTB’s), snorkling gear, or his inflatable kayak. The big breakfast is not included, and is very nice. We also had dinner at this hostel, recommended by fellow backpackers who stayed there as well, and the lobster and fish were delicious. There aren’t that much restaurants at Playa Larga, so it is definitely a big plus.
The room is probably one of the best rooms in Cuba, very clean and up to date.
The best casa we stayed in (out of five) in Cuba. Extremely clean, good facilities and well maintained. Seemed more like a good hotel than a casa particular. To top it all off, the breakfasts and dinner were excellent! Highly recommended.
Very comfortable stay during a brief visit to Playa Larga.
Large modern rooms and friendly staff. More like a hotel than a casa.
Book in for the Lobster dinner- delicious!
Playa the Larga was a very surprising stay, the casa was very near the beach, almost new and in perfect condition, big bathroom, airco, fridge and a very good bed. We could park our car on their own property. They speak good English and even have (etacsa) wifi on the terrace. Breakfast is very good, always with fresh juices They also provide a excellent dinner (on request). Near Playa Larga are some very nice beaches with coral where you can see many fishes. The first beach is the nicest. The village is very original and not spoiled by big tourism. The owner gives a lot of information about what you absolutely should not miss. The cave nearby is not very special. We wish we had more time to spent here.
We had the best time at Dignora’s casa. If you want to experience the true Cuban culture and people they will walk you through, among others, salsa classes, excursions, Cuban food and nightlife, we had a deep dive into the real Cuba as you would never expect it. We thank again Dignora for letting all this happen and we look forward to seeing you soon again.
We had a very pleasant stay here. The location, facilities and staff are very nice and friendly!
The room was very great but it did nog have the homey comfort from real homestays. It was more of a hostel with great rooms. The breakfast was decent and plentifull.
La mejor casa en playa Larga y la mejor cocina. Muchas gracias a Dignora y Alexis para todo y para ser tan agradables con nosotros. La langosta y la sopa de pollo estaban una escape culunario... Hola a vosotros desde Paris...
Very nice and clean case, close to the beach. Excellent breakfast and dinner. Helpful hosts.
Nous n avons passé qu une nuit mais c etait vraiment la grande classe!
La plus belle chambre de tout notre sejour
Bon petit dej également....
