We had a wonderful stay. Aleida was very welcoming. Made a daily fresh breakfast and was always ready to answer all our questions. Her son Jorge was very helpful. He found us a more affordable way to tour Havana. He went with us as a tour guide taking our pictures and answering questions! We strongly recommend this tour.
-Tuvimos una maravillosa experiencia. Aleida nos recibio con brazos abiertos. Nos ofrecio desayunos saludables y frescos. Siempre dispuesta a responder cualquier pregunta. Muchas Gracias Aleida y Jorge!

Aleida is AMAZING! She is the sweetest woman ever, and took great care of us during our stay(we miss her already). From the first moment we met, it was like we were family. She always welcomed us with a smile and warmth no matter the time of day and did everything in her power to make sure that we had everything we needed to make our trip great. Breakfast every morning was a wonderful assortment of eggs (cooked to order), ham, cheese, bread, fruit, a fresh made juice, coffee, and water. There is also a mini fridge in the room that she stocks as needed(having cold water handy was much appreciated). Aleida also has two sons Jorge, and Carlos who are just as wonderful, and only a phone call away if needed. We ended up spending a lot of time with Jorge who helped us plan our trip to Vinales, the beach, and airport transfers. Aleida's home is located near the Hotel Nacional and right across from the water (Malecon) with a view from the balcony. There is also wifi access in that area which is also a plus. We would highly reccomend Aleida's home when visiting Havana, and I will definitely be back!

Our experience at Aleida's place was just perfect!! The apartment is located in a safe and quiet area very close to the sea. A cab to Old Havana is 5$. Aleida and her two sons are very welcoming and nice. They recommended places to go, eat, answered all our questions and even walked us to an exchange office to change some money. We spent some time chatting with Aleida about Cuba etc.. It felt like being at auntie's house. The breakfast she offers was great: fruit, eggs, bread, coffee.. a perfect way of starting the day. The only negative thing was the wifi connection, it worked poorly. Even if I paid 5$ for one hour I barely used 20 minutes. Overall, I highly recommend Aleida's place. If I went back to Cuba I would definitely come back to her place!!Thank you very much Aleida.

I had the most perfect stay at Aleida´s place! It´s like having your own apartment as your part is separated but if I could wish to be alone or to have Aleida there I would still choose to have her there. She´s an amazing person and so are her two sons that are very helpful and great people.
The room has everything you need. I love the refrigerator, a small walk-in closet with long mirror and space for tons of clothes. The breakfast and coffee in the morning is great and your in walking distance to everything!
I will miss this place, Aleida and her sons a lot.

We stayed on our trip two times in Aleidas Casa. It was one of the best Casas on our Journey. Aleida and her sons was very nice and corteous. They helped us with any questions.
The Casa is very safe, clean and large. The breakfast was lovely and you have a wonderful view to the Malcon. We would definitely stay here again.Best wishes for you and your family

We were blessed to visit Cuba last month for Christmas 2016. I had the best experience with my new Cuban Family Aleida, Carlos and Jorge. This was our first visit to Cuba and after reading reviews we chose to go with Someillan 9th floor. My family of 3 was welcomed with opened arms. In our short stay we were able to experience quite a bit of Cuba. I truly appreciate the help from the family getting everything we asked for including the pink convertible Chevy. The location was perfect near the beach, we were accompanied by Jorge and Juan at all times. We felt safe, the unit was clean and secure. Momma made us an amazing breakfast and the Cuban coffee is wonderful. If you’re looking for a family oriented stay in Cuba this is the place for you. We cannot wait to return and this time we will be there longer. Until next time we’re sending our Thanks and Love from Chandler, AZ (USA) Eric Sr. , Jodie and Eric Jr.

Where do I begin?! From start to finish, Aleida and her family were THE BEST! Prior to my trip, I asked about purchasing an airport transfer and Aleida's son Jorge was waiting with a big clear sign and a welcoming smile for me and my friend when we landed. When we arrived to the casa we met Aleida (who speaks no English but her smile and spirit needs no translation) and her son Carlos. Carlos speaks English fluently and was the primary translator although Jorge's English was good too. Carlos and Jorge escorted us to change money, gave us ideas about where to find a good NYE party, and helped us arrange a private car to Varadero after the one we arranged on our own never showed up. Carlos is such a nice guy and full of energy. He really went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed throughout our stay. The room looks EXACTLY like the pictures! It is clean, only about a 8 minute taxi from Habana Vieja, about 2 blocks away from Avenue 23 (that has restaurants, clubs, and WI-FI) and right across the street is the gorgeous Malecon (amazing view from her balcony). I actually think the day we left the government installed Wi-Fi along the Malecon so there is now access from Aleida's balcony. We got the standard breakfast of fruit, eggs (prepared in however you would like), amazing Cuban coffee (I'm a fan now thanks to Aleida), fresh smoothie and toast which was all delicious and filling. The first day she didn't have pepper when I asked (to be honest I didn't see pepper in most of the restaurants) but the next day there was a new set of salt and pepper. I'm pretty sure she went out and got that just for me which was unnecessary but a display of how sweet and accommodating this family is! On another occasion, we came in late but ended up going out to a nightclub and got locked in (we had our own set of keys but the main gate was locked). It was midnight when we left for the club and we had already requested breakfast at 6:45am but because we were locked in we had to wake Aleida up to get out. We felt terrible (I hate being disturbed from my sleep myself) and thought for sure she would be irritated the next morning but, she was still super sweet and apologized for being groggy the night before! This lady is a saint! New Years Eve/Day we got to meet more of her extended family (who were ALL very sweet) and really got a glimpse at true Cuban tradition. We were truly sad to leave Aleida and her family at the end of our stay. I will end the review here but PLEASE do yourself a favor and stay at Aleida's casa! Her and her family made us feel like we were at home and made our first experience in Cuba one to remember! Thank you for everything Aleida! Besos! :-)
